Group Buy Closed

Email confirmation sent off to supplier. I'll keep everyone informed but i'm not expecting to hear anything after PayPal has gone through until i get home on the 6th July when hopefully there'll be either a nice parcel waiting for me or a letter from Parcel Force...

Payment sent and regulators will hit the mail today. We have 4 red and 2 blue regulators on their way. I don't mind taking the extra blue one unless anyone specifically wants to alter their order?

Any spare? - need one for a customers car for the weekend, not bothered about colour!
(another FSE failure it seems, internals on it are sh***ed!)

All posted.

I am dead pleased with how this group buy has gone. With all the messing around with customs and exchange rates in total i saved a whole 48 pence per regulator on the price landed on my doorstep.

Final cost per regulator in the country turned out to be £86.79 after we incurred £22.39 duty. Obviously i factored a small margin into the £85 price and this combined with overstimating postage charges a little and some generous PayPal payments just covered it.

So here's the break down.

£498.33 - 6x SX Regulators
£22.39 - HM Customs Duty

= £86.79 per Regulator

£1.59 - Royal Mail Standard Parcels
£2.25 - Royal Mail Recorded Delivery

Of course the important thing here is the saving we all made over UK retail prices. Beats the **** out of paying £175 doesn't it?

I'm sitting in a hotel in Dundee, waiting for a re-map with Andy F tomorrow. Hopefully it'll be there when I get back home.

Hi Floyd,

Sorry, had so many things to get sorted last week it ran into late evenings

Back now and have to go to API tomorrow morning to have a leaky up-pipe(?) sorted. Turbo was boosting late and Andy had a listen and decided the exhaust had a leak . It goes very well, trouble is, you get used to it too quickly

Sprint on Sunday at North Weald so we're looking at next week I'm afraid.

Thanks for your patience and tollerance on being messed about.

PS No sign of a reg yet when was it posted Carl?

My reg arrived, woohoo!

When can I expect Carl to come and fit it? It is included in the price, right?

OK, understand Gerry. I know just how busy it gets before a mapping session

All three regs were mailed Wednesday morning. Yours was the only one which went standard parcels Gerry, not my preferred method but i obtained proof of posting anyway. Seeing as it didn't arrive today it should be with you tomorrow, sometimes it takes a little longer for things to arrive from Scotland.

PMSL Floyd, Dad has just spied the remaining shiny billet regs on my bedroom floor and is eyeing one for his kit car. He doesn't understand they're a bargain at £85 though - wants one for nothing doesn't he?

Huh!!! Standard Parcels??? Told you I could collect. Do you know how boring it gets sitting in a Dundee hotel room all week?

You Scottish lot are spoilt up there. I can't quite figure whether the Scooby was made for Scotland or Scotland was made for the Scooby. Loads of twisties, not much traffic and great scenery. Try coming down here and have a drive round Milton Keynes eh Floyd? It'd drive you mad.

Anyway, don't worry, I won't get a chance o fit it for a while anyway

Hi Andy, Yeah, it's very odd how the weather's always good. I reckon the poor weather reputation is just a cunning ploy, put about to stop us southerners from clogging up your roads.

Thanks again for a good maping session.

Coolio, that's everybody got theirs now then. New group buy coming up here as the old man wants one of my SX Regs for his kit car. Better than an FSE i suppose.
