ronan keating - when you say nothing at all
that dirty dancing one ^^^^
bon jovi - in these arms
enrique inglesias - hero

Surely the 2 of you have 'that song' that means more to you than any other. You say it doesn't have to be a slow one so play it.
..unless its Bryan Adams - bleurrh

"Let's do it - let's fall in love!"
Birds do it, bees do it
Even educated fleas do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love
In Spain, the best upper sets do it
Lithuanians and Letts do it

Howsabout a bit of Elvis ?
You ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog
Cryin’ all the time.
You ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog
Cryin’ all the time.
Well, you ain’t never caught a rabbit
And you ain’t no friend of mine.
When they said you was high classed,
Well, that was just a lie.
When they said you was high classed,
Well, that was just a lie.
You ain’t never caught a rabbit
And you ain’t no friend of mine.
Maybe not

Wet wet wet - Love is all around
The theme tune from Robin Hood - Nooooooo - Not the Bryan Adams one - the Carl Sigman one
but seriously - 'I belong to you' - Lenny Kravitz or probably viewed as a complete saddo by the SN fraternity 'Your Song' by Elton John

Dont have a suggestion as such, but a mate got maried a couple of weeks back and they had Herp Alberts "This guys in love with you". They picked that song due to the fact that it got played at the end of every night (EVERY night) in a local nightclub where they met.

Refused to do the whole "first dance" thing at our wedding, and absolutely no modern music at all. Mrs Moose & I love music but hate nightclubs, so the whole dancing thing whilst wearing a suit/wedding dress (delete as appropriate) was going to be a complete trial. Further I've never been to a wedding where the music was other than appalling, and one generation or the other just doesn't get it anyway. The majority of the guests sit there waiting for the evening to end, shouting over records they loathe.
So a Northumbrian pipe band and caller were ordered up, and everyone danced (badly) with everyone else. Not a power ballad in sight, not a smarmy DJ, thank god, and everyone had an excellent time.
One lasting memory was seeing a 6'3" friend of ours swinging one of the older relatives around rather too enthusiastically - her feet were well off the ground, and she was more horizontal than vertical.

Ours went something like ....................
"And when you rise in the morning sun, I feel you touch me in the pouring rain. And the moment that you wander far from me, I want to feel you in my arms again" - HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE, Bee Gees version, not Take That
Great song to smooch too.
This was promptly followed by Stayin Alive where all guests joined the floor to bust some moves.
