I'm young(ish) have a classic scooby I guess for some people that's enough. However, IMHO what is referred to as chav reflects a state of mind and attitude, not what car you drive! 
Scoobies seem to be being picked on at the moment, simply cause they've fallen into the afffordable (to buy at least) bracket. They aren't the first high performance car to suffer this fate and won't be the last. Soon, the crap ones will be off the road, and the car will be reknowned for the right reasons once again!I have to say that even when I was 18, I still disliked the Max Power cars, so its definately not a matter of age. It's all about taste old chap?

The word chav gets used far to loosely. If you do anything to your car someone doesnt like they say its chav. A lot of people who us the word dont even know what a propper chav is. Real chavs dont even drive cars. They just were tracksuits and burb caps, drink cheap booze and take p*lls and are usually some sort of thief

got to admit, there are far to many bit**es on this site, they dont like dumpvalves, but the loud exhaust is fine????
There are far more cars (maxed sheds sorry) running around with silly exhausts on them than there are dump valves, so how are you a chav for fitting one???
As for the image, due to the fact that certainly round my area, there are a few poor examples of mainly silver K and L reg WRX's, i went for a new model, and i have been called more names in that than i got when i had my classic so go figure that out...
If you have bought it, enjoy it i say, everywhere you go and post your going to meet narrow minded people, so come on guys n gals, lets just get on with it eh

no need for all this, as stated in previous posts no 'chavs' are on here because they at mac'd's etc or scratching round everyone for money so they can go and drive like idiots in built up areas and give us a bad name. Yes its unfortunate that they are now able to afford the early classics and ruin its reputation and looks, its life, it will happen to evo's, skylines, rs focus etc. its just our turn. shame we should make such a fuss over idiots who are not even on here.
cant we put this one aside and get on with how great our cars are and can be regardless of the few....?

I have a classic and i am past the point of caring if i am called a Chav. I love my car and if others want to label me then fine, I still have my lovely car! I dont give a monkeys what people think of me or my car. I dont care what mods people have or dont have on their car so if they get all worked up about my dump valve - get a life.

And yes, I am sick and tired of seeing the word "chav" on here. I even started a thread on a similar subject myself a while ago.
I quite like visiting England every now and then just to laugh at proper chavs - they are something of a novelty.
(For someone who is sick of the word "chav" I am aware of the irony of me having used it six times in one little post.)
