Been to SC twice from Manchester and they are a great bunch!
2 problems;
1) That bloody goodies room has cost me a fortune so far! Last time it was £400 worth of Defis!!!
2) The lads are so happy to help that Im always there a full day even if I go up with a minor query or fault, end up chatting for hours!!!
Keep up the good work guys!

You are a proper tw@t mate aren't you, so one newbie finds another newbie who hasn't a ******* clue about these cars and decides to slag all and sundry off, do a proper search (thats assuming you know how) and see how many threads have been posted praising SCOOBYCLINIC and other company's for the work they all do and thats not counting when they go that extra mile to help out.

I surpose you're a ******* genius then aren't you who knows everything there is to know about Subaru's ? i for one have had mine nearly 2 yrs and still don't know enough about the engines or drivetrain on these cars. Thats why i went out my way to speak to Kev about these cars and his knowledge is second to none in my book, as is Adams and the guys that work there.
*rant off*
On a brighter note, keep up the good work guys

Clearly he's not a genius mate, as he thought that £600 was an extortionate price for an ECU remap!

I had a clutch and flywheel fitted at SC. Had a cup of coffee and was lent the courtesy car free of charge. The job was done in under 4 hrs and I travelled 2hrs each way to have it done. Very impressed with the service and will be using SC again in the future!

So? the gained BHP has been stated .... all I can see is a 12BHP increase - surely to god that cannot be right??

Just purely interested in how much power increase £1200 buys .... the answer appears to be, not a lot!

no doubt it was more than 12 bhp Pete, but I can not say as i have not read the original post, If it was 12 bhp there must have been some problem not mentioned on here. I for one would trust these guys even though I dont know how far or where they are, I would trust them as I have heard all good things and only two bad! Quite a percentage I think! I work in a similar field and know you can not make 100% of folk happy no matter how hard you try but SC seem to do the almost impossible from what I have heard. Keep up the good work Kellogs Special KKK!

not sure what your on about Shaggy1973! I think for the money he done really good but for only 12 bhp there must have been a problem? or the car was already highly tuned? as I have not seen the original banned post, I dont have a clue! I read the original post and it seams more than 12 bhp was gained so??????????

12BHP increase is the ONLY figure mentioned .............. we cannot assume its any different until informed otherwise.
The whole Modification/mapping/rolling road thing bewilders me in any case .... 12BHP increase for £1200 (whether that consists of ECU's, CockLinks, Re-Maps, whatever) seems a MASSIVE price to pay .... to my mind, at least?

I gather the 12 BHP was stated by the newbie. Unless SC did a before and after run on the day then the figure is pie in the sky.
You could go to PE, do a power run, then go to SC, ask them to fit a front splitter, do a power run, then lo and behold, the car is 20 BHP down! all SC's fault PSML

If it was only a 12hp increase then £1200 is a very expensive way of doing it, it's certainly not what I would call 'value for money'.
I don't think the customers needs were best served by the choice of products.

[QUOTE=The Gaffer]Hi,
A big thanks to everyone for your support.
I see Clitomat has posted again.........
funny that seeing as at 9 am this morning the owner of the vehicle in question telephoned me to appologise for his mates behavior! stating that he had no idea about the thread until someone rang him. He made the call to set the record straight and that he was very happy with his car and the work carried out, and now wanted to re-book at a later date for a turbo upgrade and map tweak to suit.
It does as Adam states, upset all the crew when someones not happy with our work, but upset is not the word when someone deliberatly sets out to rubbish our company for no apparant reason, in fact his original now removed post was in fact liable and completly uncalled for.
Again big thanks to all for your support, and of course you can count on us for the same.
Cheers Kev.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL - course hes had to ring you up. Your the only people that can re-map his particular ECU. If someone else could do it within a 200 mile radius he would have took it to them. Look after him this time will you - perhaps a 3hr wait instead of a 6 ??

Hi
12bhp was the figure posted by Clitomat monday evening.
Being very busy and not being able to store everyones figures in my head means that I have only just had time to access the dyno files, the actual figures are.......
original bhp 218.3
original torque 208 ft llbs.
after work and mapping 273.5 bhp
torque 260 ft llbs
A nice result we think!
The afr reading originaly was up at over 16:1 when the engine came on boost, we checked with our customer and he confirmed that he had an uprated fuel pump fitted just after his recent engine build so we checked the fuel pressure and found it to be ok.This is the reason the customer opted for replacement injectors, and as we were going to fit them anyway he opted for a set of second hand 22b injectors as these would be an upgrade ready for when he could afford to change the turbo.
The afr after mapping was 11.3 / 11.5 when on boost much safer than the 16:1 which was present even after replacing the original split down pipe.
So as you can see a gain of 55.2 bhp. A gain of 52 ft llbs of torque, a nice safe afr / boost curve, a set of 440cc injectors a performance up pipe,a scooby ecu, a re- map, 19 power runs, printouts before during and after mapping all for £1062.50 + vat,and not to forget a free diagnosis a map sensor and fitting! Very good value for money we think.
So before the scientific community post about value for money, get the facts straight!
We do not make a habit of posting customers power figures or thier invoices as it is very un profesional, but in this case no names or reg numbers [other than ours] have been mentioned.
Cheers Kev.

Cliomat: Doesn't Pat Herebourne (sp?) do the mapping for SC. I think you'll find he maps for various reputable companies all over the country,
Frankly, I think this is all getting a bit long in the tooth given that we've not even heard from the individual who owns the sodding car!!

PS Just read Kev's post: Surely that's case closed, thread locked! Esp snce the other party actually involved is not going to come fowards. SC have put up with quite enough 3rd party nonsense and speculation on this thread!
PPS Kev, I think you may have miscalculated (underestimated) the torque gain, shouldn't it be 52lbs ft, or am I missing something?

And there we go! The truth! more than the 12 bhp mentioned before! 6 hours waiting time for the car to be ready! come on! If you take your car to a place 200+ miles away probably miles from any where you should be ready for a full day of waiting around, I would do it, no doubt! at the end of the day can you imagine the drive home with over 50bhp and 50 lbs torque! Well worth it in my book. I tell you what, If Kellogs special K wants to book me in for a freebie with the same power i will tell you what its like
