240z - £5-7k?
XJC - £same or less
'ceptor - depends how ropey, but 15k would see you fine
£25k for most of my dream quartet - perfectly achievable. I could use the Z to pick up spares for the other two...
The Z is one I really will have, albeit maybe a 260.

Always loved these cars...but was always to young to own one.
Now i'm 28, i should really get a move on, cos they're not going to be around for ever.

Nearly all the cars I have owned I have really enjoyed, bar the crappy run around diesel 205, but the ones ive owned and enjoyed are -
Mini (my first car, like most people really)
GTE Nova (god knows why, but then it was nice)
MK1 GTE Astra (still have it but in bits)
MK1 Convertable Golf (nice for the summer)
1.9 205 GTi (hours of fun, but a little bit scarry some times)
and my current toy, MY00 Impreza
There are a lot of cars that I have drove and really enjoyed, but im going to throw a few oldies down here,
Ive drove a Bristol 403 a few times, and would like to drive some of the other sportier models to see what they are like.
My dad has a few Scimitars, and they are great big buses to drive, really enjoy the V6 roar of them.
Ok, cars I would like to own,
Obviously like everyone else I would love to have a new Ferrari or Porsche, and who knows what might happen, but im gonna keep my list a bit more simple
Im really liking the Audi RS4 at the moment, something very nice about it
I reckon my next upgrade will be a 2002 model STi Impreza, cause lets face it, im hooked.
I also have a thing about TVR's and Aston Martins but after that im back to older cars.
E-Type Jag would be there
Austin Haeley would also be on the list.

Another Mint MkI Golf GTi 1.6 in Silver. The first car I ever desired, back from when I delivered newspapers to a guy who owned one of the first in the country. I had one when I was 18 and stupidly killed it
Mustang GT350, in white, with blue decals, obviously
Mk1 Sierra XR4x4 in Rosso Red. Apart from the GT40, the only Ford I've ever lusted after, and have had mine for 10 years
TVR 400SE, That V8 has never sounded as good in any other car, later TVR's included.
Jaguar 4.2 XJC, in black, athough a Lister would be a nice alternative
R32 Skyline GT-R, in gunmetal grey, with matching wheels
'74 3.0L Carrera RS in Black with Gold decals, just coz every f**ker else wants a '73 2.7RS
Audi Quattro 20V Not picky on the colour

If it's got to have a vinyl roof ,it needs to be in banana yellow, with a chocolate brown roof
BTW there's two black ones not far from where I live

I think red/black vinyl or OE white/black vinyl are the classic combos... but a black one sounds wickedly cool.

Olly's "must own one day" cars:
1/ An original Audi Quattro. My dream car as a lad. Must be mint, standard and original, and any would do, from an early car to a late 20v.
2/ Golf GTi Mk1, probably a 1.8 or a Campaign. I know of a one owner, 40k miler sat doing nothing that would look lovely in my garage, but the owner won't sell it me.
3/ A Porker. I'm not actually a Porsche fan as a rule (I hate the Wilmslow image), but I have to confess that I would sell one of my houses to buy a GT3RS. Failing that, a 968 Club Sport, or an original 3.2 911 Club Sport, or maybe even a mint, low miler 944S2 would do.
4/ A TVR. Probably a Griffith 500. For one reason, and one reason only. THE NOISE! The rest would probably dissapoint, and I would sell it after a month.
5/ A Caterham. Promised myself one for years and years now. Always go and have bi-annual dribble on the motor show stand. Don't fancy paying stupid money though, so an old 16v Vauxhall powered De Dion, with twin Webers and a straight cut box will do me nicely.
6/ A Merc 500E. Original autobahn stormer, Porsche fettled, from an era when Merc knew how to build a car. Ownership of an identically engined W129 SL500 diluted the need a bit, (and crossed a "must own one day" off the list) but still a contender. Failing that, a previous shape E55AMG estate (what a Q car!) would do the job.
7/ A Nova Sport. Don't laugh!! To me, Nova's were remembered as extremely competitive, quick, nimble and tough rally cars, not Chav specials with silly stereos. The Sport is the homologation special with twin carbs, fancy manifolds and vindaloo cam. Must be a mint, unmodified original car, although I think such a car does now not exist.
Already scratched a lot of itches, and out of the 40-odd cars I have already had I can heartily reccomend the Vauxhall VX220 (awesome), Impreza Turbo and Bugeye WRX (capable), Golf GTi Mk2 (complete), 205 GTi 1.9 (sublime), Capri 2.8i (hairy), Mazda MX5 (fun), Mazda RX8 (different). Toyota Hilux (tough), Merc SL500 (powerful) and the Nissan S-Cargo (comedy).
The daft thing is that if I won the lottery, the above wish list would probably not change. Just add a Rolls Royce Phantom and an ex-works BDA Mk2 Escort rally car.
