I liked it but didn't "enjoy" it if you know what I mean. The tension is relentless.
But what should have been an impossible choice [choose your son or your daughter but not both] was made easy by the fact that the son was such a ****.

Well there isnt much i can add that hasnt already been said! As mentioned though it is very intense and at times quite frustrating! I found the people carrier scene where the people try and get in to be quite scary, purely just to be in that situation.
As said his son surving seems very unlikey!, especially seeing the raging fireball coming from where he went!!
Tim Robins charactor seemed pointless too, ive not read the book though so dont know how valid he is! Just seemed like a boring 15minutes!!
The effects were very good though and the scene with the floor opening up and the buildings splitting was very impressive.
Ending was crap though, but i suppose if thats the end thats the end!!
I remember seeing a bit of the original though and that definatly had a darker moodier atmosphere.
