Hi,I have just been to my daughters school for a review with the year tutor.My daughter is doing ok but her main concern was that there are a disruptive group in the year who the teachers have to spend a disproportionate amount of classroom time disiplining.
They are mainly the same group that have been at it for years in the school.She said they seem to calm down a bit if put on report but start again once off report.
I asked the teacher why they don't kick out these persistant offenders & she replied 'it's not that easy'.
As always there are only one or two ring leaders in these situations & the other few who would normaly be ok jump on the band wagon to see what they can get away with. Also when some of them are ejected from the class they just go around the school causing more mayhem.
I remember a programme where they had a group of disruptive kids on an outward bound style camp.There was an award winning teacher in charge.When one of the kids was behaving like a tw*t .as you would expect,he was told he would be kicked of the project. Of course he didn't believe this as he had been getting away with this type of behaviour for years & never been made to pay for his actions. You sould have seen his face when he was told to pi** off & not come back,he was devastated.
My argument is that when one of these kids is made to leave the school their partners in crime (sheep) will be made to see that there is some consequence for their behaviour & start to tow the line.
The kids thrown out should be made to attend behavioural therapy classes with their parents(that's where it stems from) and only get any benifits or family allowance if they attend.Money is the only thing these people will respond too.

Get peeved with the naming restrictions.
Kids are well aware of what they are up too at a very early age.Can't remember the age of criminal responsibility(14?).About time all that was reviewed.
Name and shame them big style(4 years is quite stiff in this age of being sentenced to four whips from a goose feather)
