**** me, everyone's an amateur psychologist!
I swear all the time at work, but i thought the extent and timing of Saturday's outbursts was inappropriate. I'd wager that anyone who disagrees doesn't have young children.

LOL @ Snoop Live on the BBC singing "Whats my motha forkin name" - When Madge did it it was old news for the snoopmaster had already been there...
We make them famous by spending money on their self expression then slag them off for self expression... errrm....

Got to admit I laughed when they aired the footage of Green Day and left in the Mindfúck lyric and again when Razorlight popped one in but I was cringing when Snoop Dogg was on stage.
I don't blame the guy, those are the lyrics he wrote (despite me thinking he's a shít artist and performer) but putting him later on the bill might have been prudent.
For the record I haven't heard any of you old timers complain about Roger Daltrey singing "Who the fúck are you?" during Who Are You

Plus it was late enough for nobody to have reasonable grounds for complaint, imo.

I've no issue after 9 as you know what you're going to get and it allows me as a parent / individual to choose.. I had no choice on Saturday..

i turned the s**t off after 10 minutes.....
and went down the pub instead, to hear proper contextual swearing!!!
its not hard to say the "f" word, and i'm sure it didn't generate any more money for the
little hungry black kids.

You can't hide kids from all the wrong things but you can educate them. I knew swear words when I was a child but I never used them because I knew it was bad or inappropriate.
I don't think there were any outbursts on Saturday, a couple of incidents of swearing - possibly less than a child would hear at school these days.
Why single out Snoop though - Is it because he is black?

Listen to you all, the whole thing was a publicity stunt and your making it work by starting threads like this.... you all had a choice, the second Snoop was introduced on the stage you could have turned over, Im sure 99% of people watching knew you was going to get some colourful language from him. no matter what time of day it was!!!!
Personally I didnt see any of it and Im glad... Im sure Sir Bob didnt make any money from all this

But why are we censoring all radio broadcast R&B / Rock songs by phasing out the swear words? Why don't TOTP producers allow artists to swear instead of playing the watered down version?
As a parent, I'm not stupid enough to think that my 12 year old lad isn't swearing at school.. But as parent I have to protect them from the potentialy harmful effects of using such language as normal everyday language, which includes education.. Do I really want Snoop or Eminem as my lads role model?
Why stop there? Why not let him see the pornographic content of the Internet?
There HAS to be a decency line drawn somewhere..

So are you accusing me of NOT doing that???

I'm sure there will be people who blame the swearing on Live 8 for their children becoming criminals later on in life.

Are you ******* mad??? If you think you're the only competent father out there, get your head out of your ****. And no, she *hasn't* been subjected to that sort of language yet, so get off your high horse and don't assume YOUR way is the only right way. As and when the time comes, all well and good, NOT from Madonna well before the watershed when it isn't expected and totally unnecessary.

I have just seen a video clip from the German concert.
2 chicks went on stage stripped off bollock naked -then a member of the band stripped off , he was aroused lets say , he then screwed one of the girls from behind -All this on the stage and to an audience that were encouraging them .
Now I've been in the army and seen everything , but this was disgusting

Anybody on the planet thinking there would be no swearing on Live8 needs their heads examining. I missed most of the concert - but from the bits I did see it looked pretty poor.
As for picking on Snoop cos he's black - I didn't see his set or any of the others but I would bet he's being singled out cos he swore the most.
But here's something for you - Most parents would be telling their kids that swearing is bad and only done by bad people - So if Snoop comes on swearing like a trooper the kids might well put 2 and 2 together and come up with Black People are Bad.
So does that make the kids racist or Snoop an arsehole ***** ****** ?

A spokeswoman for the BBC said it had received "just under" 400 complaints about its Live 8 coverage.
