I'm really pissed off, I was enjoying The Who, then they were off after only doing 2 of the CSI theme tunes and they didn't do my favourite one!!
PF.... **** off, sounds like they haven't played together longer!! Dull, dull, dull! **** when I first heard them, and they are still **** now!
They should cut all this mutual ************ (Hey Jude) that's happening at the end and get The Who on again!

Not me.
Never did say that or "cool".
All I'm trying to get at is, I love music from all eras including the classics.
I just get dissapointed when people seem to be stuck in their own era.

I'm not stuck in my own era! I have said before, I have favourite music from the 80s, 90s and present day. I have a wide taste, it's just that PF doesn't do it for me. I find it boring and doesn't make me want to get up and move to it.
E.g. the Kaiser Chiefs are now on. Quite heavy, but it makes me tap my feet and move! PF don't
Sorry!

All good stuff.
See how we've got to where we are.
Some might make you want to tap your feet.

I with you 03-CTR on the Black Eyed Peas - I just don't get them either. In all honesty, I think they are very average and distinctly unoriginal, but to many people on here that would be tantamount to me posting up something like: 'so these Subarus - they're a bit crap aren't they?'
I guess we should be happy that we like different things - it would be pretty boring if we all agreed about everything all of the time

I enjoy nearly all kinds of music, classical, blues, R'nB, swing and the old crooners, pop, rock and heavy metal and virtually any other classification. To me it's all about the music and I appreciate good musicians whatever their classification.
So for me the whole day was really enjoyable (exceptions were MS Dynamite, Dido, Madonna) and I thought that the standout performances were VR, The Who, Snoop Dogg, Scissor Sisters, Robbie Williams and Pink Floyd. (Green Day too from what I saw)
And while I do like Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Keane and The Killers I doubt very much we'll be seeing them around in 30 years time as legends.

My comments were directed at those who hold the disgraceful view that classic rock bands should be 'banned' as inappropriate entertainment for the 21st Century. A *very* New Labour attitude.

PINK FLOYD - it was a sublime performance...made most other look like amateurs.
I am not a FAN of Pink Floyd - only know the popular numbers and their performance by far was the highlight of the event. They are a proper Live band and genuis musicians.
I'm 27.
Closely followed by Sting...Robbie was good as always too.
Madge - sorry, but wtf did she have to swear.....cheap....and chavvy (thats her)
Velvet Revolver - wouldnt it have been nice to have Axle rose on stage to complete the GnR line up....now that would have been interesting.

The person who should wake up the happiest this morning is Madonna.Like a Prayer was excellent, great choir.Ray of Light and Music were great too,and what about the dancer doing the headspin.A top performance IMO.
Other good performances,U2,Coldplay,Dido,Stereophonics and Keane.Floyd,The Who and Macca were dissapointing. As for the finale, how many times can you have everyone singing the chorus (no verses) to Hey Jude.
Robbie was rusty, thats why he forgot his lines in Let me entertain you.

Without a doubt....The guy playing the acoustic guitar with Craig David in Paris.......feckin outstanding ..... although I can't stand Craaaaaaiiiiiiig David
.....joint first equal with Pink Floyd, and the guy dancing on his head with Madge
Kelly Jones won 2nd prize on his own for that version of Maybe Tomorrow
Madonna, Robbie, Sting, Annie Lennox, Kaiser Chiefs in Philadelphia, Faithless in Berlin, the Who, Velvet Revolver all in 3rd place with brilliant efforts.
Killers in 4th as can't really be judged just on one track
Mariah Carey, Paul McCartney, Pete Doherty all in joint last place as they should never have been invited in the first place
Missed U2 and Coldplay but can imagine
