Like someone mentioned on a previous post i think we all had a spell where we were in a gang for me it was 15 odd years ago.
But we never did anything like what these little ******* get up too these days my dad would have beat the **** outta me.

had it been my car and me i would have smashed his face into the dashboard and kept smashing his head into the dashboard till he stopped living
how do you know he's not gonna knife you or something???

The problems these days stem from these wishy washy liberal sandal wearing scum bags that did away with caning in schools and teaching dicsipline

if i did something wrong i would get a bloody good hiding off my old man and thats the way it should be

Feel sorry for your missus though mate for having to go through that hope she's ok after that

They're just horrible little ***** today. I would have never dreamt of doing something like that. The 'gang' I was in drank cider and nicked apples!

I also blame the do-gooders, there is nothing wrong with a bit of discipline at school. I also blame the chav parents creating chavs

If I as a lad had done a similar thing I would have received a second dose from my parents at home and more than likely get kicked out of home.
Too little discipline everywhere these days, too much "my rights" cr*p. Strangely the rights of the property owner or individual on the receiving end of the offence is NEVER considered.

Hope the misses isn't too nervous about going out in car alone again, this sort of thing can really upset you for some time without you realising it. Make sure she still enjoys the car and offer to go with her to the shops sometimes, but make her drive.
At least she seems assertive enough to say to herself, 'i am strong and will not be a victim...'.
Good on her and all the best to you.
Have to say i agree with bits from many of the threads, in hindsite yeah ok he was a jumped up little pcrik trying to look good in front of his mates.
Would i wan't my wife to hesitate in that situation?
Hell no!
Jab in the eye, jump out the car a scream bloody murder until the whole high street can see the little sh1te in your car.
We used to need a license to own a dog, but anyone can raise a little twonk of a child sadly.
Many a valid point. Mainly discipline, parents and schools IMHO in that order too, parents should 1st port of call not the school, but all our hands are tied now even parents are afraid to discipline nee naw nee naw 'evenin' all did you tell this child of yours off? you is nicked then matey'
Not plods fault either, the law is the law and deep down we are happier they enforce it than not have them at all...

totally agree, couldnt agree more.

I'm a motor trader, after looking at a car today, I got into my Terzo with compomotive Mo's and big exhaust, off I pulled away from a blokes unit, pulled up at the lights (in Stockport) and was 1 car back from lights,
i had window down approx 2" and heard "oih" then a faint whistle, looked round and slightly back from me (they too were behind 1 car at the lights) Four or five thugs (for want of a better word) in a 54 plate Zafira, and scouse accent's,you know the type, bob hat on, hoods up, in the car.
shouted accross "gis a go a that" so i just turned and faced the car in front, they then shouted accross "I'll take it off ya" ,so I locked the doors, and hey presto the lights turned green,
Well, you've never seen a 98 Subaru shoot outwards from the center of stockport so fast, *******s were chasing me, managed to burn them off, and they then went another way,
Only for fast thinking, the *******s would of been out, and in my car.especially me being out numbered.

That lad who jumped in your car, needs both legs breaking as a good lesson.
especially when it was a woman driver.

Joking Aside

Lets not taint all teenagers, cos I know a fair few I would trust 100%,

lets not blame the police, they only enforce the law

lets not blame schools cos they again can only do what the law allows them to do

The fact is the blame starts with Maggie Thatcher, with the attitude of if you want it take it, mass conspicuous consumption, and look at my wad. Listen to some of the music / lyrics, have you seen how women are portraid? and crap TV pandering to the lowest common denominator.

The problem is WE are living in a society WE helped construct, the youth are product of that society, I would not want to be 16 again living in todays society. Any way as WE have been far to liberal in our thinking and have lent towards a less oppressive, regimented way of thinking the youth have filled the void. The law is changing as we speak eg asbos, smoking, drinking, speeding, etc in time people will look back and be amazed at what teenagers got up to

Thats my rant over

Speak to any teenager and ask them what they would allow their kids to get up to, and you would be amazed as to how right wing verging on **** they are!!!

Things are getting better

Flamesuit on - but I think I just thought of another benefit that my Scoob is a company motor.

Someone gets in the passenger seat and I would drive the car at 20/30 mph into a parked car - assuming the little gob****e didn't have a seatbelt on.

Cars written off - I'm OK (I suspect I could absorb 30mph in a Scooby with belt on) tw@t is left sat in someone else's car he wasn't invited into. A little the worse for wear I suspect - obviously only crashing because the gob****e was tugging at teh wheel in an attempt to carjack OBVIOUSLY.

I get my order in for a new car - lovely, I think I'll have a silver one next time please. Oh and if its after the new model comes out then I would def do the above.

He'd think twice next time!!!

Ooh, yeah!

And the insurance company could pay the hospital bills and damages for the innocent bystander and their baby waiting in the parked car for the driver to return!

Christ, if people thought through stuff this well when they went to the bog they'd ****e in their trousers half the time. They don't seem to have two braincells to rub together.

and your correct action would be what??? report the ****** to the mods?? LOL

come on bubba... what would your wife / partner have done???

whether these people would have taken the actions they did is debateable, but given the news we see daily about the "youth" of today, i wouldnt take the risk, reasonable force is ok in my book.

I was commenting on that particular post, not what the thread-poster's missus did. I just found his Walter Mitty-type pipe-dreaming schoolboy fantasy completely embarrassing and laughable.

She has every right to protect herself from a perceived threat, of course.

id string u up along with the little ******, in a cold dark room and allow your carcasse to rot. Trying to defend idiots like that is beyond my understanding.

Times sure have changed! But for the better?
'Pigmentally Challenged'?!! WTF??!! Why doesnt he come out and say whats on his mind instead of hiding behind euphemisms??!! Or couldn't he 'ascertain' that not every member of this forum shares his narrow minded views?? What a load of old B****cks!

Calm down Bubba - let me re-phrase. I'd slam it into a tree or a lampost.............does that make you feel better? You surely can't tell me you're a treehugger with a gas guzzling Scoob, so surely I'm safe.

I really struggle with your reply. I'm not suggesting I'd do that with my other half or kids in the car - I'd probably give them the keys if I thought I'd put them in danger. But just me on my own - different story mate. Someone has jumped in next to me, means hes probably armed / on something or plain f***** crazy so I'd suggest I was in a fair degree of danger. Therefore I find the actions I describe as entirely justifiable.

Guess the ultimate question is, what would would you do? And even though you're claiming to be a doo-gooder I won't believe you if you say lean over and s*ck him off!!

Ah... now you consider what you ought to have put. All this in the split second it takes to decide how to tackle a situation like that. I'm not convinced. I'm not particularly a do-gooder; I have a problem with these Boy's Own Stories reactions to situations, real or hypothetical, that people come up with on here.

Lighting distress flares and sticking them in an attacker's face

Hairspray and Cigarette lighter

Assault with a deadly torch

Fountain Pen with Poisoned Dart

Ok, I made the last one up.

Truth is, we don't know what we'd do, any of us, and crashing your vehicle into another parked car doesn't seem to me to be the most likely or appropriate turn of events. And that was the example you gave, so don't try and wriggle out of it.

No wriggling - stand by it every time

I'm not disputing that its very easy to say what you'd do in a similar situation. Of course it is.
Would I try and get into a scrap for my keys - NO, I'd give em over. I even leave the damn things where they can be found in the event I do get burgled. I don't want some tw@t coming for me in the middle of the night coz I've got em under my pillow.
AND I for one have told my missus that if she is ever challenged for the keys to give em with out question. I wouldn't risk getting knifed - I'd give the keys mate. Its a car for ***** sake!

If however she was carjacked and told to drive to a place where she would most likely be raped, or if some crazed nutter got into the passenger seat forcing me to drive em somewhere under threat and if the attacker had no belt on then its parked car or tree/lampost every time.

I notice you avoided the question about what you would do? So assuming you will answer it can also tell me what you'd want your wife/girfriend to do in the same situation. I fully appreciate that with kids in the car its a whole different ball game and who knows what I'd do then, certainly not wrap it round a tree! - but I'd suggest that any mum or dad would fight tooth and nail for their kids safety IF it came to it. A la the lady in question at the start of thread and most people that have posted subsequently.

Far from avoiding the question, I pointed out that I have not the slightest clue what I'd do which is a realistic view, IMO. I hope I'd have the guts to fight, but the actual circumstances of someone leaping into your car could range all the way from a drunken teenage prank - no worries - to a more serious opportunist attempt to take one's car - more problematic - to a couple of hard, tooled-up geezers prepared to stop at nothing to gain the vehicle. I suggest that it's impossible to speculate and that everyone is different. Certainly, not many people are 007.
