Just managed to ge a quote of 888.64, which was rather pleasant. Plus the guys said they were fairly mod friendly and would be looking for around 10% on top of the premium should i fit a PPP, which i am now seriously considering.

I know you probably want a WRX yesterday, but seriously, why not chill out for 18 months, save your £2.5-3k/year for TPFT (best you will get), and buy a car when you are 21 that you can actually afford to run.

I'm not saying you cant afford it now, but whats the point buying a 12 year old car which will have lots of history, when in 18 months, you will be able to buy a late classic for £5-6k or a MY01 newage for £6-7k and still have money to spare.

With all due respect, as many people on here have found out, it can be a financial disaster owning a wrx with TPFT based purely on the fact that you are statistically very likely to write it off into a ditch. You've then spent 3k on insurance you cant claim on, £3-4k on a written off car, and are £7k worse off as a result and will have an accident to declare when you next come to insure a car.

The insurance company are then laughing their bollocks off.

you have little chance mate. it aint worth it. few people saying its possible but they say "when i was 19" 2 - 3 years ago. the rules have changed now and you will find it impossible. the only one that might is www.swinton.co.uk quoted me 5k for a 05 wrx at 20 with 2ncb
