Theres a dial on the dash that tells you how fast you / your car is travelling at, and there are laws about what the speed limits are on certain types of road.
My first piece of advise is to learn what the dials on the dash are for, I worry you may also run out of petrol or over rev your car if you are currently so unaware
Secondly learn the speed limits documented within the highway code and understand the word limit - no where is there reference to speed targets within this publication.
Thirdly - understand that because others do it shouldnt make it right and how many cars or who many lanes me jack **** when you're simply braking the law.... Justifying it is quite pathetic
Fourthly - Dont try and prevent messages like mine with sarcastic closures to your thread opening posts. If you arent able to corrollate car speed with speed limits, OR if you hold British law in such disregard then you derserve a bit of a ribbing...
Anyhoo at least you took your points on the chin unlike many others. Fair play... Please take my advice on board... If you follow it you might just keep your license...

Get out the house, give your car a good thrash (in a safe environment)...you'll feel so much better for it!!!!

2002 130mph on motorway 6 points £460.00 fine
2003 117mph on motorway 3 points £660.00 fine
Both times i represented myself, apologised profusly, pleaded poverty if i lost my license, loose house and job, more apologies, what a stupid speed, how irresponsible i was etc and finally a couple more apologies!!
hope this *** licking approach helps!!
have now purchased numerous radar and snooper detectors - fingers crossed nothing yet!!
