Doesn't mean it was anything to do with terrorism. Out of several hundred people who are probably injured in London daily. Big deal.

The world has become a stage. Théatre de la cruauté.

Amazing how much speculation the press feeds us with.

And even funnier, ITV news commentators while rushing around and feeding all this crap are saying "we shouldn't panic".

I think it'd really help if the Police would give proper reports.
I know they dont want to cause panic, but it causes worse panic now because no one has any faith in the reporting, so end up picking up all sorts of information from other people, people phone loved ones etc, if they stated the facts, I think people would respond a lot better.

Hope there are no casualties, and everyones okay (apart from the *******s doing this!!), have to go through the difficulty of trying to get loved ones home from London again unless things calm down this afternoon.

It's not the fault of the the police. If the media want to report what Bob's wife's cousin's half sister said what are they to do?

Not sure if the police is to blame really. They need to make sure people are evacuated, do factfinding, and policing above all, before they feed the hungry press a few pieces of raw meat.

IMHO they have their priorities right.

The BBC have said that armed police have entered University College Hospital and that the area has been cordoned off.

Hello

How stupid can you get? To set off detonators with no explosives. I wonder if these people thought there were real explosives.

Met Police Boss Iain Blair has confirmed 4 attempted explosions and asking for all Londoners to stay where they were. Just heard that on Radio 1.

Hope they dont catch those who ran away, probably give them a pat on the back and give them a house

Youre missing the point; its not uncommon for the detonator to go off but for the main explosive charge to fail to ignite. Thats why you should use more than one detonator (blasting in a quarry).

Yes, but it is unlikely to happen to all four devices.

Hey, it was only after about 8 posts in this thread that the shouts for "deportation" were heard, so there is hope yet for mankind

Anyway, who - or what - ever is doing this, surely is upsetting a lot of people's lives.

Perhaps the detonators arent up to the job of igniting the main explosive charge? Commercial explosive is extremely stable and it takes a hell of a lot to ignite it. You can make a fuse out of a 9v battery, a switch, some fuse wire and a small quantity of volatile quick explosive and itll ignite some home brewed explosives; fertiliser & GO or sodium chlorate & sugar, but it wont be able to fire a more stable product.

the scariest part of this (apart from the death and destruction) is that the bombings could stop all tourism in London, the knock on from that will completely fubar the economy, bringing the country to its knees.

You might not be far off . I predict the closure of whichever newspaper is involved due to public disgust and total boycott if it's ever found out...
