US political intervention in the East is well documented and widley accepted.
Unfortunatly our access to top secret intelligence of what is/has really gone on in the world and the complex political undercurrents and hidden agendas and future intentions of world leaders/countries is so severely restricted that speculation in many areas of international politics(including deeper terrorist motivations) is nearly pointless

The problem with suicide bombers is that you can not stop them. Israel will tell you that, if there was a way Israel would have found it by now thats a certainty. You can not stop one individual from strapping a belt of explosives to his/her waste and walking into a public place and detonating it. No amount of intelligence in the World can stop that.

Nobody 'out of the loop' so to speak knows what is really going on or why ,in the 'bigger picture'. The best we can do is botch up a dodgy jigsaw puzzle and guess at what gaps there might be in our picture of secret world politics and undercurrents etc etc,

A clear sign for me is that all the Gooners at work, without exception, seem to be very pessimistic about this coming season.

I acknowledge that the war in Iraq has increased the chances of a terrorist attack, but is not the underlying cause. What is the reason that British citizens of Pakistani descent launched an attack becuase of Iraq? FFS they are not Iraqis and propbably didn't give a flying **** about the poeple there when Saddam was in power. Keep dodging the issue if you like though.

Billy Boy should have used a much longer spoon in his dealings with Bush!

What on earth do you think is the underlying cause? Are you so bigoted and narrow-minded to blame everything on religion? Perhaps you ought to read this thread: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=443416 and smell the coffee.

CoobyS you really are an arrogant twit.
The thesis from your self-publicised link seems to be that if you occupy territory, you can expected that the occupied peoples will fight back. This is not rocket science, is it?.
It does not explain why British muslims see fit to attack their own countrymen. Why do they feel better connected to others of a different nationality several thousand kms away than to their hosts. Can you see the connection, Gump?
Have a nice day.

Got an e-mail from my mate in london this morning who's Asain. He said
"got bus to work this morning with my rucksack on my back...... first time ever I've not had a problem getting seat!!!"
the good ol British sense of humour!

It's not nationality that is connecting them, it is religion. But the particular religion is arbitrary, it could be hinduism, sikhism, christianity or whatever because none of the religions condone killing.
Simply thinking that because you are a national of one country and that you will support that country is fallacious. Most of my British Indian friends who are as 'English' as me decided to support India in the cricket matches against England - why don't they feel connected? Who would you support, your names suggests you are of Indian origin?

I agree with Suresh. Even if everything can be blamed on our invasion of Iraq, then you could argue that Iraq would be well within their rights to come and attack us, after all we went in there first but its not them doing the attacking.
We are being attacked by English born men who are no more or less of a Brit than I am, and thats the difference.

Suresh, you simply don't like it when someone disagrees with you.
Check out the leaked British intelligence report which identifies the Iraq war as a key cause of young Britons turning to terrorism.
It's all very well sitting there shaking your head saying, "they're not even Iraqis" but it's not going to stop extremist groups recruiting and people being blown up.

Endless tolerence ending in capitulation isn't an option either, by the way although you seem to be advocating it.
