Asians are getting it hard all up and down the country due to these bombings! A woman even had her house petrol bombed ffs!!
![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
I still can't understand the mentality of those who thought they shouldn't have shot him. THEY THOUGHT HE HAD A BOMB AND WAS GOING TO DETONATE IT!!! So bearing that in mind they weren't about to interrogate him while waiting for him to set off a bomb that they thought he had

He enters a busy tube station, and at that point you warn him that you are armed police and ask him to stop.
The suspect runs and makes his escape over the ticket barriers, obviously with the intent to get away from you any means possible.
You give chase, adrenaline pumping, you see the suspect get on the tube, he stumbles and you catch him.
At this point you have a decision to make; with the death of over 50 people in the first suicide attack fresh in your mind and also an attempt to detonate 3 other devices the previous day. This person is potentially carrying a lot of explosives to take as many lives as possible, including yours as you are now in his immediate vacinity, do you
A) find out weather he speaks English and attempt to reason with him
B) attempt to restrain him, to find out weather he is carrying any explosives
C) attempt to restrain him, and hope that he will not detonate the explosives in the struggle to restrain him.
D) shoot him dead, to prevent detination and thus save the lives of people in the immediate vacinity and prevent another 7/7
What decision do you think you would take? now, remember don't take too long to decide as he could potentially detonate at anytime, especially as he's now at his most vulnerable on the floor, knowing that the police have him and there is no possible means of escape for him except one of course......
Be thankfull that you don't/can't do his job.

Ok basically, as I understand it (to placate our resident feds) there were several officers on him at the time. I WOULDNT have shot him, as he was most likely winded AND pinned to the floor by 3 or more police. Whats he gonna do, headbutt the explosive ?

Bravo2Zero, it's all fine and well thinking he was a suicide bomber but you've got to have good reason for it. You can't just go and shoot any old Joe and say you thought he looked like a suicide bomber.
Mitchy260, does have a point, whether racist or not, he could have believed he was just being attacked. Sikh and Hindu Temples have also been attacked btw, at least one Sikh temple was firebombed.

The police should never have allowed him to travel to the tube on a bus!
Why was he not a threat on the bus? But he was a threat at the tube station?
He was a 'suspect' after all and he was wearing a large bomber style jacket! Why did the police risk the lives of the passengers on the bus?
The incident should have been dealt with out of harms way! Ie as soon as he left his house! it should never have got to the situation where he was bundled and shot 5 times!
Soulgirl.....There are still 4 terrorists out there that we know are willing to cause havoc to the capital! Will they be arrested and sent down? Or will they pack themselves with explosives and walk into the nearest shopping centre/football stadium?
Who knows! And thats why i said it was worrying!

If I was in their position jumping on a potential suicide bomber I wouldn't be thinking anything but to stop him blowing me and everyone around me sky high. Not lets sit here and ask him some questions whil ehe has time to press that button in his pocket

We'll know in due course (hopefully) if they had good reason to suspect this guy.

Yep and one of the July 7th bombers was Jamaican born, which proves you do not have to be Asian to be a suicide bomber.
As I said in a previous thread earlier today, its not the officers who pulled the trigger that need to be investigated if it turned out the bloke was unrelated as they were acting on orders of shoot to kill anyone suspected of being about to detonate a bomb, its the intelligence team that was providing the information that need to be looked at. How was the intelligence relayed to these officers and how strong was the intelligence in relation to events occuring the previous day.

I don't need a good seeing to at all; what I need is to be surrounded by intelligent individuals who say nothing intelligent at all and just get pissed out of their heads talking crap... oh, hang on... they're all here

True, whoever gave them the instruction/intelligence is also responsible but I suspect they were given certain licence as well to decide whether to kill or not so they may still have to answer for their actions. We'll see.

Where are most of you lot getting these 'facts'? Try waiting for the inquest first.. Then you won't look so foolish..
All experts too in Police & Special Forces Ops, tactics & current ROE's & SOP's..
I've no apology bringing a post of mine from another thread..
The Police and other security forces have been operating for far too long with one hand tied behind their backs as the Government pander to PC & the minorities..
As I said to a good friend who's in the Police tonight, we're starting to reap the benefits of being a namby pamby state..
If you're not Brave enough or have the natural call of duty to get out there and do the job of protecting this country then don't criticise those that can and do, and don't play into the hands of those people whose job will be made easier by tying the Police's and security forces hands even more....
It's time to REALLY support the people who are now on the front line for us..

the point is..
What should be done in future?
What should the police do to (try) ensure that another innocent person is killed because of what apears to be a missunderstanding?
Obviously the public will be(should be) wiser to situations like this ie not run if someone shouts "police, stop".
The problem with this situation is that anyone could be a suspect atm if they dont apear to be of British origin and they are carrying their laptop, packed lunch ,sports bag etc anywhere in a public place.
so what should an innocent citzen do in a stuation like this?
Put your hands up in the air very slowly?ofcourse the detonator could be linked to a micro switch that activates when your shoulder touches your head.
or lie down slowly?so is the dettonator on atached to the stomach?is it voice activated?or connected to a mobile phone that some other cowardly ******* has control over?
What can be done?
I spose the easy answer is to just shoot every ****** you dont like the look of and aim for the head....................unless the dettonator switch is under the hat...
