Happy days heh! I remember upgrading my 386sx from 4mb ram to 8mb and the ram back then was £40 per 1 mb!!! so £160 to upgrade the memory and now you can get 512mb for about £50!!!

Their HQ is a few miles from here, and the rumours of how they built the machines have been rife for years now.

Just a shame for the all the folk round here losing their jobs, but thats life, their systems were rubbish.

Spoken like a true geek Though you are correct of course.

I still have 4 or 5 lying around including a new PPC based one.

And I still play Sensi Soccer - it's a game that can never be bettered! (There's a way to play on-line now too)

as for Tiny - crap computers

Hello

After the Amiga had come almost to an end, I decided to buy a PC. I bought it from Tiny and didn't really have any problems. They were just up the road (in Redhill), went there spec'd up the machine and they built it for me.

Time on the other hand were a bunch of useless people as a couple of friends bought their computers from them and had nothing but problems.

Mate of mine used to work there in tech support. Some of the tales he tells are horrendous but very funny in a twisted kind of way! Most of his ex-collegues will struggle to find work he says.
