Yep, it has been a good day except for the bad weather, and especially the dark side within Phil with his Gollum voice. Its been such a good day I've regret selling me scoob and having the urge to buy another one very soon.
So soon that I've been looking to import of a site called japaneseauctions.co.uk run by the Advan Group lot No. 8362.
I've sent for the details already, look what you've done to me boys.

Danny,
look at this - you know you want one don't you;-)
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=448810
this has been up for sale for ages so you would be in a strong position

cheers rob, spotted that one before, very very nice.
but you would save 6K importing one yourself, they have 05 model's going for 10K + importing fee (Tax Shipping, VAT etc) I've been thinking about it for a while, I'm in no rush at all won't be until later in the year, so new model out should push bug eye prices down and little.

Dan,
The model I've been looking at is the 2002 WRX STI with 41000km. Starting price 980000 yen, but looking at the market price they think it'll probably finish at 1450000 yen at the average price.
The full price I work it out to be is roughly £10342 thats includes everything to your door E.G. VAT,Duty,Shipping with Total loss insurance and agent fee's.
Of course on top of that is ESVA, MOT, TAX and registration with the DVLA, but still that saves a good £3-4k. Its well worth considering.
Rob, as soon as I find it I'll PM you for your address to send it to you or if you prefer to wait until the next mini meet.

Jap auction
It takes awhile to load so beware.
It should be the top model in blue.

very nice, couple of small dings but very nice, tempted with one of those myself.
I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for less than 1,400,000. I've seen a few blob eyes go for 1,400,000 mark on there web site.
I worked out a 1,480,000 car with the 110,000 for FOB, 100,000 shipping, 5,000 insurance.
= 1,695,000
+10% import tax
=1,883,333.3
+ 17.5 % vat
=2,212,916.6
on todays exchange rate thats £11,149.9
Plus SVA, Road tax etc
Bare in mind david hendrys have got 3 bug eyed sti's for £12995 each
