Here's a couple of articles for you:
Daily Mail
Courier Mail (Aussie paper)
Nice quote: "In Britain, Johnson & Johnson has admitted that there is no medical reason why the daily lenses cannot be re-used and worn as long as the other brands [i.e. monthly disposables], provided they are disinfected in the same way."

if you got an astigmatism your lense(s) will be weighted and take longer to 'settle in' - but im sure they will have told you this. I have such in one eye.
Doesnt surprise me bout the lenses so do they vary in thickness???? i see you can order them on the net in states at quite a discount (if you dont have astigmatism -i suspect ).
My stepdad had a hard ones up till 2 years ago..Didnt always use the correct cleaning gear -used to suck them clean.....
.....A bugger for getting grit behind tho apparently....
...mind you he didnt 'lose' them like the soft ones...

What do you all think of lense prices?
I'm trying out monthly ones at the moment, but see myself going back to daily disposables as the cleaning is a bit of a nuisance, and I find my eyes are'nt quite as comfortable with monthlies.
I normally use the Johnson&Johnson Acuvue dailes which cost £105 for 3months worth. The monthly ones work out at £90, but after solutions it's about the same.
I see Tesco are to start selling them for something like £20 cheaper. What happens about optician care? My optician is great and I would'nt go anywhere else!
Used to have hard lenses when I first started wearing them and they were horrid
I did used to wear those overnight although your not supposed to as it can make the eyeball wear more apparently and you can have complications.
Nuff to say that common sense should prevail!

i have monthles
but i cant leave them in overnight
i used to wear them 5/6 days a week and have sundays off, but a change in jobs means i dont have to have perfect vision anymore so there only used if i drive or if i go out on a night time
i would say 70% of my waking hours are without the lenses now TBH
sumtimes i get sum and they are not comfy no matter what, i can open another set and there fine, which is confuseing, i think i pay about £12/month for mine and it incudes the eyechecks every few months etc etc
i use the "complete" solution
they have been irritating me a bit today mind (had to drive from london to newcastle so i was stuck with them![Mad](images/smilies/mad.gif)
i can notice a diffrence in clarity when i open a fresh pair

i use easy vision daily disposables by spec savers £22 per month delivered to my door every couple of months. been wearing them for a few years and got the time down to less than 30secs to put them both in! to take them out i look down pull the corner of my eye lid to the side then look up the edge of the lens hits the tightly pulled eyelid and pops out dead easy can even do them both at the same time!
never had any problems with infections and sometimes they have been so comfortable i forget their in and go to bed but when you wake up your eyes are really crusty with that yellowish stuff you get some times and it's like looking through a mist, made the mistake the first time of trying to pull them out and boy that did hurt so if i do it now i just leave them in a but blink a lot and eventually they become loose enough to take out the normal way then just replace them with another pair (not ideal i know) i now hate having to wear glasses but make it routine to wear them on sundays as to give my eyes a rest.
