I know people who simply drove into them, to get them to move out of the way.

hi stevie!
fair comment, we did have security in pitlane, but they didnt always react quick enough to move the blockages, this does need addressing. i also had to (unfortunately!) ask the promo girls to stop pole dancing a couple of times in pitlane, as they were the main cause of quite a few blockages!!

congrats on the times/speeds also mate, must be chuffed with that?

I still want to improve the 1/4 as I still cant get good launches. Having said that, I am very happy with my times.
But I am absolutely over the moon with my top speed of 183mph !!!!!! I had hoped for 160+ as my car is as aerodynamic as a brick .

Only bad thing about it, is that now I want to hit 190

I honestly think, that with a longer run, and a rolling start, I could probably do it. I was still accelerating, albeit it quite slowly when I crossed the line.

From standstill to me letting off was 33 secs. I reckon 150 came up in about 17secs ( from datalogs )

Stevie, the best cure for me was watching Paul employhis staging limiter as his reversing beacon

That soon made people move, but i do know what you mean though. I couldnt make Marks car trundle along in 1st (kangaroo anyone ) so had to use 2nd, but stalled it due to people being unwilling to move.

Chris ,

Any thoughts on moving the retail stands / burger vans out of the pitlane next year ? Maybe spraymarking the 'teams' areas would have stopped MLR expanding as the day went on too ....

Cheers

not sure what there is to be smug about.

was a great day in terms of improvements on the quarter, but I do think we should concentrate on areas where we should have an advantage, the handling!

We have the lightest of the 4wd cars with the lowest centre of gravity and a hell of a lot of natural grip. We should with corrcet set up be able to handle as well as drag.

I know we are always going to struggle with top speed though.

We should be very proud of the advances we have made, but how the evo team amanged to pull out what they did I'll never know.

I guess its because they dominated the handling, and put in a few good top speed runs. A game plan was enough to give them the victory.

I think we should learn from this for next year.

How difficult would it be to alter set ups during the day? 2 sets of tyres, two turbos (and maps) and adjustable suspension.

would that be enough?

hi stevie
we only put smallish wagons in there for the competitors really, plus a few toilets , dont know yet how much of a bottle neck that caused as such.
we had everything in place on saturday to mark out the team areas as normal, however as you saw elvington was awash with rain all day, and we couldnt mark anything out unfortunately. i also extended the pitlane round, there was a lot more room top end, however none of the teams wanted to use it and all packed right in.

The prices were extortionate. But if you really felt that strongly, dont pay it.

Yes you will go hungry, but you will save a fortune.

I highly doubt the organisers have any control whatsoever over pricing with outside caterers.

Unfortunately my engine wasn't going to be ready in time for TOTB... :-(

But its will be all ready for my shootout at Bruntinthorpe and then onto the Jap Show @ Santa Pod on the 9th Oct...

Realisticly looking at hitting the low low 10sec mark.... although with the right setup a high 9sec pass would be nice... But like i said i'm realistically looking at low low 10's

We'll just see what the GT3542R does at 2.4bar with 9000rpm... Either way its going to be very quick... :-D

Every other aspect of the car has been treated to the best parts so it should perform well in all diaplines... ;-)
