Date for your diary.
Sunday 29Th April, 10:00am, East bound side of Birch services between J18/19 on the M62.
Northern Meet 5, approx distance 55 miles.
Any of you that intended going to Meet 4, but were unable to attend, should enjoy this just as much.
And hopefully this time we will not have any petrol shortages to worry about.
I have put the start time back a little, to allow the sleepy heads amongst you to wake up.
For those of you that have never been on one of these meets, there is nothing to be frightened of.
You each have a detailed route, and you can drive within the legal limit, and at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
IT ISN'T A RACE.
So come along and enjoy the spectacle of, hopefully, a varied collection of nice motors.
Usual format ladies and gentlemen, please register your interest on this thread, and STATE YOUR CAR TYPE,if thats OK.
It makes life a bit easier for me trying to keep the car list topical, thanks.
Attendees:

Gary Brant,
To post a reply, look at the top of the page, where you will see two large icons.
One says 'REPLY' one says 'NEW TOPIC'.
To reply to an already running post, you click on to the REPLY icon, not on the reply with quote at the top edge of my post.
Could you please edit your post, by clicking on edit/delete message icon along the top edge of your reply, to remove the 'quote' which includes the car list, as it wil contradict the main list at the start of this topic, on my post, which I update continually.
Also, when you type in capital letters, people think you are shouting.
Turn of the caps lock.
Cheers MTR

Gary - Welcome on board mate
Just to give you some help, go to your original long post, and click on the symbol at the top of the post that looks like a pen and pad. (Part of the group of 4 symbols)
This will allow you to edit the post, whereby you can delete all of the original stuff

Graeme F,
I am not a member of the SIDC, and I have actively encouraged as many interesting cars to partake as I can.
A car park full of nothing but Subarus would be pretty boring for myself, and I believe for a fair few other people.
I am a complete car nut, and can appreciate and openly admire many varying marques, and even motorbikes, although having a R1 attend is a first.
When I am out and about, if I see an interesting (in my opinion) car, either parked or driving, if I can, then I will stop and talk to the owner and invite them along.
In the last couple of days I have invite a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 1 along, and it turns out the owner used to work at the same company that I do.
Please try not to be too rigid in your perception of what can make an enjoyable outing, as being in convoy with some of the NON Impreza attendees is incredibly fulfilling.
Shelby Cobra, Stratos, Marcos Mantis, to mention a few.
When was the last time you had the oppertunity to drive along with such a varied and interesting collection of VERY desirable cars?
For me it was on Northern Meet 4.
Cheers MTR

Hey c'mon, surely my Fiesta si is going to be the most awesome piece of machinery there! Seriously though it should be a cracking day out and have to agree a car park of just Scoobs could be a bit dull!
Bob, busy reading as I've only recently sussed out the next page idea, didn't realise you had to turn over yourself!

Currie 32, your post is a little unclear ( I don't mean to appear rude) are you saying you want to meet with me and Dreamer? Don't know if Dreamer has got a new car yet but I'm in a Fiesta SI and should be in convoy with a Corse ( stratos rep) and an R1 if you're up for it!

MTR, will the route finish back at the services? If not do you know where?
I'm just asking because I might not have a co driver and I have the chance to jump in with Dave in the other Corse as he'll probably be on his own too.
DW, might be able to get you a passenger ride if you've not got a car!
