And me. RWD, "Only" 173bhp but I am not used to the car yet having only been driving it for 4 days so I will be one of the 'backmarkers' as well.
I am there for the cars, socialising and food though - I too want to keep the license
DW - Cant wait now!!!

Bugger, just one little joke about my bro's girlfriend's @rse, and he won't lend me his Car. What an ignorant tw@t
However, today things have started to look a bit brighter: I'm taking the Boss's New Range Rover for a new tyre on Fri Afternoon, To be returned on Monday (Offered to take it for him - Brownie Points )
Just have to make sure he doesn't check the mileage tomorrow .
Thing is i feel like a right tw@t driving that thing. Seeing a 19 year old driving,
people constantly bombard me with "Daddy's Boy " Comments... Well I'm not, just a quick thinking young lad who can pull the wool over the bosses eyes
If I'm there, You'll not miss me!!!
Andy A
Donations for Gas Guzzler Accepted kindly
PS. What time's everyone going Home?

MTR,
can you give us a rough idea of how far the finish is from the start?
I notice from DaveD's post above, that NM4 finished near Sheffield which would be a bit of a trek back to sunny Cumbria (sorry to sound like a wuss!!)
Cheers,
Pete.

PeteT,
NM4 finished just outside Holmfirth, not Sheffield, alhough we had headed farther East before the finish.
NM5 will finish within a 25 mile radius of the start, heading North.
I don't want to be any more definate than that, for security reasons.
You will not be finishing on the East coast, well I won't be, but as for the rst of you, well who knows.
Cheers MTR

Wow, what a gathering of cars.
Hope we can keep the midlands group together. Normally 10 cars would be too many, but considering the number attending, it is OK. On meet 4 we went off in groups of 4 or 5.
A WORD OF CAUTION TO EVERYBODY
On a recent Tamworth run I did not reset the trip and after getting stuck behind a car was playing catch up. I knew the hump back bridge was around somewhere, but it was too late. Broken windscreen and set off the air bags. The car flew for about 20yards at a height of 3 feet and landed on the front towing hooks. Cost me £350, cost the insurace company £2700.
So take care on unfamilar roads, but most of all enjoy the day and have fun.

John Felstead,
Go on be a devil, bring the Westfield.
Just use a degree of self control, and let a whole bunch of car nuts see what is obviously a pretty rare car.
Cheers MTR

Well i am suposed to be racing the Esprit at Cadwell Park today (29th) but doing a final safety check tonight we found a cracked rose joint in the front suspension, do we have a spare this size, do we ****.
I am well cheesed off!! but relieved we found this crack before it let go on track.
So what do i do?
Sod it, i am coming too.
Shall i bring the Scooby on new SO2's, perfect for the wet or shall i bring the Westie on virtual slicks, scary in the wet?
I'll see how nuts i am feeling in the morning.
Where's my waterproofs?? LOL

Big thanks to MTR for such a well organized run.
The route was spot on with plenty good bends and straights.
I think I should have fitted the mini mudflaps before we set off though !!
Hope everyone returned home safely, and I look forward to another quality day out soon..........
Once again, thanks MTR,
Craig.

Hello all,
Well 78 cars turned up at the start, but Stratman, Dicken, Sparkplug(my friend Tony) and the couple in the Evo 4 or 5,only came to say hello.
So 74 cars actually on the run.
A good turn out, but once again 28 cars that had registered an interest failed to show.
The 22B looked stunning as usual (cheers Paul)
The 2 Stratos replicas were both amazing to look at and to LISTEN to.
The Marcos Mantis was LOUD.
The EVO 5 was LOUD in colour eh Barney
The two Audi TT's were a nice change.
The Cosworth Sierra was a nice bit of retro.
The proliferation of various Imprezas was a very good cross section of the Marque, but I cannot specify each type that was there, as my head was in a spin.
Oh and Bob T's Fiesta, cool
Pramrace decided he liked the look of the North West and decided to explore a large section of it. so he wins the farthest distance traveled on a 55 mile run award.
But he and his passengers got there in the end, so thats all that matters.
I hope you enjoyed yourselves.
The Police at the start and finish were cordial and very understanding.
Once again thanks for your attendance. You all make the run something to remember.
I hope you all had as good a time, as I did.
Cheers MTR

I certainly did. Thanks for all the effort that you put into organising this event. Due to sheer numbers, couldn't find people I knew at the start and had to make new friends
Super run and the sun came out (eventually). You didn't mention the Marcos. Loud enough to,UNINTENTIONALLY, frighten a pony midway thro. Made a couple of detours from the official route, was Pramrace the reason I ended up following a convoy of scoobs through Huddersfield town centre?
Hope you can get back for the Dales run.

Sorry I couldn't make it, Trying to find transport was aproblem, Ended up with a mate's Bike.
Was awoken this morning by the rain pounding against the bedroom window.
Unfortunately History tells me that Me+Bike+Rain are a painful combination
I'll be expecting loads of piccies tho'... Surely there will be loads
Looking forward to NM6 In a Scooby this time!!
