Okey-dokey, meeting point will be the LARGE municipal car park opposite Windermere Aquatics (boat shop), go into Windermere and turn right at the boats, passenger boats etc...just after pelican lights, can't miss it folks, one way system, car park is on the left opposite the above place !!!
10.30am.
Then we'll do the whole of the route and can re-use the instructions, although I'll volunteer to lead with banshi hollering out
O.K.

Just to confirm I'll be there but not "in car" this time.
Fancy being a passenger for once.
If Mellow's front seat is taken, (and I don't fancy straddling 2 fire exs)
Anyone need a navigator?
Rich

Don't want to spoil anyones fun here but it's the school holidays, the weather forecast is good, and your coming on a Sunday!?
At 10.30 you'll be lucky to get a space in the car park on the Glebe and if you're looking for some good driving forget it, you'll spend most of the day stuck behind an endless stream of coaches, caravans, cyclists and bloody sunday drivers.
I live up here and I'd seriously suggest you try the Pennines/Yorkshire Dales areas if you want anything like traffic free roads.
As I said I'm not trying to put a damper on things I just don't want you all to be disappointed, please feel free to ignore me.
Pete.

Pete,
Thanks for the info m8, your'e very right in as much as the popular roads will be busy, fortunately we will be taking the not so popular roads so shouldn't be to "delayed", as banshi says is a "day out" to enjoy the scenery with a few stops etc but still with ample opportunities to have a "blast" at certain known points

Mellow,
I should've known you'd be way ahead of me!!
I'm still not convinced about the meeting point though. Why not meet up at the Little Chef/BP Station at Ings (about 3 miles east of Windermere) then any early birds can grab a coffee and fill up with petrol while they wait for the stragglers.
Anyway, just a thought, feel free to etc....
Pete.
ps Can I come?

Didn't want to give the game away m8, but I thought we should review the meeting point. May I respectfully suggest a discrete rendevous at the hotel car park? Walk by the lake or grab a coffee whilst waiting for the gang, then hang a right and head for t'hills

Pete, I think your right mate.
O.K., due to the anticipated start point lets review the meet up point and go with banshi's idea.
Car park at the Lakeside hotel which is on the A590 on the way out of Windermere towards Newby bridge on the right, the car park is situated at the rear and you need to go through the archway which drops down to gain access. 10.00am for 10.30am then.
Pete, your very welcome mate.
Chiark if your camping, the campsite is almost opposite this hotel meet point.

Banshi,
no problem m8, I'll buy those pampers and rubber knickers off you! Are they the ones with elasticated legs?
Chris,
Any chance of someone picking me up from Birch services like last time? Not that I hang around Service stations or anything
If not, where should I meet up with you chaps?
Really looking forward to this now, should be a good do.

Cracking day out Gromit!!!
Nipped up to the Lakes to have a run of the routes by myself as most of you have already driven it. Bit of a confidence booster you might say.
Ruined by some prat on the motorway trying to wipe out me, himself and other roadusers over something I have yet to discover
Read about it in "non-scooby" forum I posted a little bit on it.
