Has to be done.
Gutman - I'm keeping the Pug thanks, and every mod is a good 'un. 80% of the mods I've done/am doing you won't even see, only feel.
Tell ya what though mate, can't get the rear wiper motor off. The thing has actually died but the motor attaches to the wiper through the glass. The bolt has well and truly rust to ****. If I try any harder to un-screw it I can see me cracking the glass as it's flexing massively.
Damn it.

We were out on a walk last night and a lad came tearing past in a nice std looking S16 or GTi-6.
It was dark blue, looked great and I'm fairly sure he was running throttle bodies on it as it sounded absolutely stunning. Bwaaarp
Fancy one myself now to accompany the 205.

I liked mine and did lots of little mods, only problem was a timing belt failure 12000 miles early, luckily it was under warranty but unluckily it was with A Clark and took them over 3 months and 3 rebuilds inc crank before it was right, great motor though,

Close, i'll probably buy one and it will sit on the drive gethering moss, I never drive anywhere
Rick, may take you up on that offer, you should pop here as well. Only ECU left to do on the 205, at last

Just a quick reply to the 306 being easily out performed by modern hot hatches,
if link doesnt work, CCC mag put a standard 306 rallye against a standard 51 plate CTR on a track
306 wins

There are hot hatches nowadays that would easily out perform it (CTR, Leon Cupra R etc) but considering its 10 years old next year it still holds its own and demands respect from most other hot hatch drivers.
The 'Williams' Clio would make it into a top 3 Im sure, its just a pity Williams motorsport had absolutley nothing to do with the car whatsoever!!
It seems the way for manufacturers to go is to just see who can get the most power from a FWD hot hatch, see Vauhall, Ford, Seat, VW. They seem to have forgotten what a drivers car is made of. The 306 is most definatley the last of a breed that we will never see the likes of again.

You can give cars more BHP, traction control or stupid bonnet/roof/boot stripes but you still are not making a better hot hatch than the 306 was.....err....IS, merely a faster one (in a straight line).
So, I refer to post number 1 on this thread.
