B/R Late cancellation I'm afraid.
Mellow and I have the opportunity to tour some stages in South Wales on Saturday
As a result we will be confined to "happy domesticity" on Sunday and won't be able to make the shoot out! Hope you reserve list appreciates the sacrifice

i know you chaps are all going this sunday, just for info we had a mini meet at well lane today, thought you might like a copy of the results for comparison. by the way, our last rolling road shootout at well lane is available on our website if any one wants a look..(events page)
todays results:
a few club members went to well lane turbo centre, batley today, for a discounted tuning session.
everyone got 25% off the usual rates, and a good meet up as well!
results in order of attendance as follows
(for info ambient was 13 degrees c approx)
Alex Degnan Celica GT4 (204 bhp model apparently)
192bhp at 7psi boost. problem was traced to a non functioning boost solenoid, which needs replacing, car ran 2 psi less than std boost, hence low result.
Andy Nicholls
Maestro Turbo T16 (FWD)
316bhp 290ft/lb torque.
26psi boost
Chris mann Rover coupe turbo (FWD)
225bhp
15psi boost
Stu Harrison
RS cosworth sierra sapphire 2wd
230bhp 15psi boost
(wanted me to point out shagged clutch!) ;-)
Simon McGlynn
Celica GT4 (st205 model? 242bhp std)
243bhp at 13psi!
Damian Ward
RS cosworth sapphire 2wd
341bhp at 24psi boost. (full 330+bhp conversion)
300ft/lb torque (maybe more, copy of plot to follow)
Matt Ashworth
Rover Vitesse Turbo sport
180bhp (problem with boost not holding more than 11psi)
engine also has done 150k miles.
great meet, many thanks to all especially well lane for all the help
well recomended.

Is there any more drop outs? at this stage
Would'nt mind a run. But I'll be coming up from Bristol - so dont fancy being on the sidelines
I'll presume currently that there is no slot and wont bother turning up.. would have been interesting to see if I hit 350bhp depending on the accuracy of Well Lanes Rollers...
At least I have the PowerEngineering one in November confirmed...

Late change of plans for me guys.
I need to stay closer to home so won't be coming up - 200 mile round trip for me.
Steve, I was going to run so you could take my slot.
Sorry,
ChrisB.

Chris B - thanks
Will give me an indication of power prior to the 'big boys' meet at PowerEngineering. Shame I have not had the injectors changed yet - so I'll be 15-20bhp down - will give me an indication though....`
Ok -I'll come up mid/late morning
See ya there all
Cant see it all commencing till after 9.30am - at about 10 minutes a car that'll mean a finish around 12 if 15 cars turn up

Myself and banshi went on the Haynes Autumn Classic run yesterday with a start of 5.00am, I covered 650 miles and got home last night at 12.30am ........methinks I'm entitled to miss this one
Anyway, I can't have you guys REALLY knowing what my cars all about.... if you know what I mean......just get yourself to Donno next Saturday and see for yourself
Chris (with a bit more than 300 bhp really )

Wow, me gets to be first to post a big thank you to Mike and the Well Lane boys for a great day. Well done everyone...
I was very happy with my run, 262bhp (not bad for a UK car) although there are some bigger targets out there to aim for. Try for the 280 mark next time round.
C U all again soon..

Just a quick message before I disappear for a few days ....
Big thank you to Well Lane rolling road, it was good fun watching all the cars being thrashed on the rollers, especially the 22B ! Enjoyed myself, and wished I could of stayed longer.
Especially pleased with my 289 BHP reading, for a car thats rated at 250 and has done 118,000 KM, I figure that's pretty good ! All I need do know is, figure out where all that power is coming from.....

Had a great time
My uk MY00 PPP was pushing out 249bhp on optimax and 238lbs of torque but what a power curve on it still pushed over 200lbs at 7k
Think she needs some more miles on her for her to get more bhp out of her thou, 17k aint alot on a modern engine and i want the 280bhp mark so looks like a scoobysport d/p next

Great stuff Mr Ferries (you gonna have a chat with Bob then - although I realise my, erm lightly modded motor is nothing to go by!)
Need to add 'ported standard headers' to my list of erm, minor mods.
Should do better next time...
That said 338lbs of torque wasnt too bad I guess
Will be able to compare against PowerEngineering soon - but I think that the peak power at 6100rpm for me was about spot on as my injectors max out around this mark

Cheers Mike for taking the time to get it organised, me thinks I need to get the cheque book out and buy a few more bhp!
I was fairly pleased with 237 untill Nick's std car did 232!

Cheers for fitting me in. Didn't think I’d get to go as I thought I’d still be feeling ill from the affects of Saturday night. That extra hour in bed worked wonders !
Nice to know what power im putting out as it will really upset my mate who’s just ordered the new civic type R (girls car in my opinion)

Yeah - I didnt have to believe my eyes when Mikes car was on the rollers, I was almost dragged into the place, to 'witness' the most unbelievable - Mikes car hitting...... 266bhp! (or was it more!)
To say the lad was chuffed..........
Its all how you drive though, rumours have it that Mike drives like a girl...

Cheers for sorting the RR day out. Was actually quite pleased with 246 bhp, but concerned by the graph I will get TSL to investigate at the next service.
Can you e-mail the graphs when ready.
