Just come down the M66, and part of it is shut! Unsure if it's just tonight, but all those who are travelling from Manchester side
just follow the diversion signs, as it brings you back onto the M66
further on.

John/Cat74 just sent out details etc.

See ya all tommorrow!

Just like to say 'Thanks' to everyone for turning up and making the day go off so well Lucky once more the weather and traffic was on our side
Yet again a great bunch of peeps old & new (Even though the older ones did go on about Eee' when I was a lad)

Cheers to the DBM posse accompanying BobT and I through Buttercups
mountain. Hope Sarah's feeling settled, it was probably altitude sickness

CRAFT

ps Way to go Bob, good time to find out your brakes are knackered

Already posted this under the thread in general but though I'd copy it here:-

Great to see everybody again. Many Thanks Craft & Co. for organising it. Like your new ScoobyNet smilies!

A top route and little traffic - still a bit nervous on the main Skipton A roads after my visit to court last year - but got plenty of chance to open it up on the back roads

We were in the group with the Cossie, blue Sport and the 5 door. Hope you didn't mind the short stop at Ilkley to get rid of one of my passengers and join up with the Audi TT.

Seriously tempted with the Buttertubs run but did it all yesterday so thought I'd give the Scoob a rest! Hope you all had a good time up there.

Supercar Killer (Buddy) - many thanks for giving me and my mates a run in the Evo - its the first time I've been in one - well impressive Let me know if you ever fancy a mini Dales run (Buttertubs, etc.) - we head up there most weekends in Winter.

Cheers,

Ian.

HEHE What a briliant day, again Top marks to G+H,well done

What a time to run out of pads, at the top of a chuffing great hill widely regarded as one of the best driving roads in the country, typical Still had a great time though, must do it again, with brakes..and coolant

Bren,

Yep top run from Pateley Bridge onwards. Me (Blue Scoob) and mate Ian (Audi TT) do know the roads fairly well - we are both keen bikers and spend a lot of the summer up there!

Cheers,

Ian.

Thanks for organising the day Craft, thoroughly enjoyed it & surprisingly even Helen was seen to have a grin on her face.
Thanks to the fellas for meeting up with me at Elland Road.
Nice to have met Ian & Apple, I won't mention the part when we got lost (only joking)
Any pics anyone

Bummer!

Got up at 9am ready to shoot off up to Skipton, having spent all of Saturday afternoon washing and polishing, only to find - flat tyre!

Had a huge bloody nail in it. Getting it repaired today. I've only had the tyres 4 weeks!

I had a spare set of wheels as well and I sold them a few months ago!

Didn't really fancy doing the run on a space saver.

I was GUTTED

Been looking forward to this run for ages.

Sorry Graham and Heather, maybe next time

Just like to say thanks to Craft for a good run out, As a first timer it was nice to meet up with other like minded owners, and it was time Scooby had a run out anyway. Great roads for some fun, must spend more time in that area getting to know the route better. Must say sorry to Catalunya 74 and followers for getting lost, also to Craft who came to look for us. I was just testing you folks behind to see if you were following the directions (joke).

I noticed quite a few of you had Radar detectors which brings some questions to mind

a. Are they worth the money
b.Do they really work detecting Gatso's

Considering buying one any recommendations ?

Brake Pads £8 - it costs me more than that to swap the pads on my mountain bike!

Craft/Bob - let me know if you're doing a Dales Run 3.1 mini meet in December - I could be tempted if not working.

Cheers,

Ian.
