Thanks STi! It is a nice car, in fact in the summer it's a great car - unfortunately in the winter it's a ridiculous car - couldn't get it off my drive for a whole week last year! So, currently considering a change, as I think RWD for where I live is a no-no!

Not driven one but know mates who have and they liked the RX8 although they did mention the back end. They do sound nice!

I take it you're out in the sticks a bit then?

Not really, Chapel Allerton area, but it's off a very steep little-used lane, that my car can't appear to climb if so much as a solitary snowflake has adorned it! So, move or change car I guess.....New car it is then (and they're starting to become too common now anyway!)

Well the AWD of a scoob would help but if you don't like common look elsewhere

True, but I don't think there's anything I can afford that isn't common - the RX8 had it for a few months, but they appear to have bred like rabbits in the Leeds area recently

Get yourself a cheap 4x4 for the winter.

The Scoobs aren't as great as some would have you believe in the snow (that assuming you get REAL Snow).

Scoob is fine for an inch or so - much more than that and they start to get challenging (Fat tyres being the biggest problem).

Suzuki Jimny for a second car - great fun in the white stuff .

As a suvverner exiled ooop north, I can assure you we get REAL snow up here - thought I'd lost my way and ended up at the north pole the first winter I was here! And thanks for the advice - perhaps a 2nd car is the way to go....

Try Suvverner exiled to Aberdeenshire .

The wife's Jimny really is great in the snow (and being a soft top it's quite good in the summer too )

Tell me about it!!! The norf certainly has it's great points, but the weather is definitely not one of them - I have to have 4 wardrobes now, summer, winter, northern and southern!!! what a drag

The locals have a description for the weather up here - I think you may like it.

9 months of crap weather followed by 3 months of WINTER

I'd usually agree with you, but I'm pretty sure a weak ray of sunshine fleetingly broke through the clouds here a moment ago. (Although it could have been someone switching a light on next door, perhaps)

Welcome Lucy, you look like you are having a good time already. You appeared to have joined during the "scoobynet mad season".

I'm frequently in Leeds myself and know someone else in an RX8, nice car - much more room than you expect. ferocious fuel consumption though.

Have fun, relax and ignore questions about bread or whips.

Thanks Milamber! You're right about the fuel consumption - she can drink more than Ollie Reed and George Best on a bender - but slightly more loveable probably

So does that mean in Muppets I can have an opinion on nothing, but knowledge on everything?! Hmmm - not sure where I fit then!
