I'll tell you why here we go again
1. I have just averaged 40.8 MPG!! YES!! it must be that COMMA Oil I have used?on the back of a low loader

2. My Brake Pads are still original after 61,000miles!! and original brake fluid

3. My Engine runs fine and hasn't blown-up in 66months of ownership!so are many other's

4. My **** hole Sensor is STILL delivering correct values to the boyfriend after all this time!

5. I have used all kinds of petrol because i live next to a local garage and i can not take the time out to run my car to optimax

6. I don't need a CockLink to tell me my engine is pinking ... amazingly my ears actually work!! you don't drive it hard enough to hear any problems if your getting 40.8mpg

7. I'm a mug for useing £15 for 5 litres of Oil that does poor into the oilfiller cap just the same as £30 oil

8. I have never had the 'benefit?' of some geek that has a very good understanding of the electrics and engine under the bonnet of a very complex engine with a Laptop and stupid looking Headphone Det Cans!!

9. Amazingly I get along just fine with changing gear at the correct time - WITHOUT lights!!! Yes, I know - I am a ****star!!! in an auto

10. After an Oil Change I just start the Engine, no tossy messing about with Crank Sensor Disconnects or Plug Removal ............... and ................ everything still works fine!! most peolple change the filter as well not just the oil

So?

Am I the Greatest fooking w4nker of all Time??

I was just looking for the agreement that I am, without much of a shadow of a doubt, the greatest Subaru Impreza Owner/Driver that ever breathed the sweet air of Subaru Ownership

There is no way you could have gone above 2.5k rpm! and certainly no boost!

JohnD
I regularly get an average of 32MPG but only if there are no short and stop-start journeys - and the motoring includes all sorts -towns, motorway cruising, fast boosty bits and lanes etc. but I do anticipate traffic ahead and avoid pointless acceleration and braking. But I do reckon that 40MPG is impossible.

Pete, congrats....on what I'm not sure mind you

What on earth do you do with your bodily wastes as you're clearly too tight to part with anything

p.s. 60 months ownership of an import - no failures but 20mpg and lots of brake overhauls

That's it! That's pete's secret to the amazing mpg - Re-cycled Poo! Poke it into the tank with a stick, pour in a drop of bleach to get it really gooey and the resulting fumes give incredible economy! If you get a bit of det. a couple of good f*rts in to the tank are as good as a bottle of NF!! (put the filler cap back on quick to stop them escaping.) A good curry the night before is worth at least 20bhp?

Ive enjoyed reading this thread!

Pete you sound like a complete tit!
People buy Impreza's to enjoy them, not to nit pick on little things!
If you want to drive under 2.5k all the time, that's up to you.!
But don't have a go at people who actually drive these awosome cars!!!

Well done on your stolid approach to driving Pete.

It is a shame though, that although you have acheived many great things, your car will have suffered the same depriciation as those driven hard with numerous changes of brake pads, tyres, oils etc.

4. My NAF MAF Sensor is STILL delivery correct values to the ECU after all this time!

How do you know? How did you measure it?
MPG goes up just before they go pop.

I'll get my popcorn.

Dear Mr Subaru,

Please could you arrange for Mr PSLewis, the greatest Subaru driver of all time, to be given a new Sexually Transmitted Infection.

There you go Pete, I'm sure lots of BB members feel you deserve it as well - not quite sure what you're going to do with it now though
