a lot of people were looking at this guy to see if it worked, i dont' think anyone tried it after that, i know a few tried insulin even (that stuff you inject into whatever muscles you want bigger) all for local shows!

Would not touch insulin, it just makes you diabetic in the end!! The worst thing about HGH is that it makes everything grow including your heart and also your stomach. which looks like your 6 months pregnant even with zero body fat. Basically you need to train like an animal, eat the same and most importantly sleep right and with the right steroid cycle, 2 pounds of muscle a week is the minimum you would gain.

is that why most of them competing in the Mr O had distended stomachs, wouldn't bother just on that point, like you say i think you would have to get everything spot on if you were thinking of trying it

The prob with BB nowadays is that it is toooo far removed from normal size.
If you go back to Steve Reeves/Reg Park they were clearly bigger than normal people - but not so far removed that people stopped seeing them as men with larger muscles.
Arnold/Franco took it as far as it could go really.
Then Yates came along and it was all about size......ending up with Coleman who is now so far removed from a normal human that the average persons sees little difference between him and Valantino nutcase bloke above with 5ft arms. The only people that can appreciate Coleman are other BB'ers......yet with Arnold, Reeves and Co they were appreciated by the public (hence they all got stuck in the movies)
The sport has become isolated by its own extreems - which is a pity because what Arnold did with th sport could have been the thing that got it mainstream if people like Bob Paris and Shaun Ray were rewarded for their bods...instead of being ignored in favour of Yates and his mass.

Yep, i'm 99% certain he was Polish champion, at the very least. YOU know as well as anyone here that powerlifting doesn't make you pretty, just very strong and bulky.
