Well Foresterboy S&S Services in Ayr are superb, they asked me to come in today to get my knocking noise looked at, without even asking they said your loan car is waiting for you outside for you if you wish (a Forester by the way!) so well happy.

I think it could be because they are a small family dealership, they even support track days going along to see their cutomers and tout for new ones, was told by one of the owners that they dont mind certain mods either, as long a you let them know before fitting and the warranty will remain intact.
Ive only known them for a short while and they deff have my vote, a pleasure to do buisness with them.

I've just started experiencing knocking from rear on 53 STI and was going to get it checked on tuesday at 30K service. It just dont feel right at the rear now?
Should I print this thread and take it with me. Are they likely to know what its about? (new dealer in Bury StEds Suffolk)

I get the knock in the steering and the dealer said no fault found !!!! What have they said it is? They generally tightened things up and it isn;t as bad, but it is still there.

Lets hope Clarksons experience of Mercedes after care/reliability is a one off for your sake or you could find yourself in a similar position only with a £££ motor..!

I know a few merc owners who are thinking the same thoughts as your original post.

Not that I'm green with envy..! You probably won't even see this post as you've got the 55 now and fu@ked off somewhere driving it at 212mph..!

Warranty will only cover what has failed unfortunalty, if you make a big enough song & dance about it & you maybe know someone in the dealership, they might change the others but you have to bare in mind that it will be the dealership that will be paying for it, not Subaru UK

But to be honest, what would be the point of that ??, the other three will be fine
