children come from a biological mix of man and woman.. they should also start with a family of man and woman , ok accidents happen but what is it with women and there bloody biological clock...
man dosent have this urge to produce sprogs,, he may have the urge to hump, but thts it.
why do women have this urge to be baby carriers?? its not life threatening??
there is no requisite that they must have children... so why the fuss...

If people are worried that IVF treatment for gays is a poor way to spend NHS money, all I can say is the amounts we are talking about are tiny compared to the amounts that are wasted in the NHS as a whole.
As for gays making good parents, I know several gay couples (some are relatives) and their kids have grown up to be perfectly normal (and straight) adults. Two of these kids even managed to survive their father dating an extremely camp male stripper for a while. Kids are bullied about far worse things than the sexuality of their parents. I imagine a ginger haired child with "sticky out" ears and a big nose would suffer more.
Even the childless gay couples I know, IMO would make far better parents than most people.

I dont really mind if they choose to pursue that path, as long as they are a "genuine" couple, and tbh, there are a lot worse parents, just look at some of the dregs that are bringing up little "Jorden" or whatever.
HOWEVER I do think that they should pay for it, as should all parents who want IVF. The NHS was, is and always should be the care of those people in the country now. How can it even be considered a good use of resources when the world already has too many people, the adoption lists are positively bulging (if youd seen the list and the way these children are just names on a bit of paper it would make u cry)
Also how can we spend money on getting lisa lesbian pregnant when her next door neighbor Geoff is dying of cancer and has a small family because of lack of cancer treatment centres and waiting months for access to treatment. Priorities are wrong me thinks.
