No; that gay couples' infertility condition is the same as heterosexual couples', and deserves the same right to be remedied.

Telboy,

Hetrosexual couples have infertility problems.
Gay couples dont have the ability to concieve a child.

dispite the similar outcome (no child) there is a massive difference.

Only in your mind, because you're prejudiced against same sex parents, even though you aren't exactly sure why. I understand what you're saying. I don't agree with it, but i do comprehend your view.

Not at all sufficient.Nature has dictated that these people cannot have children. Gay or straight, it makes no difference. Let nature be the judge. Not some career clinician or social worker.

No. I'm clear in my mind already. Sorry, I just don't believe in all this tampering around for no more reason than someone's gratification.

You surely can't believe that. Infertile couples generally have a fault in a basically sound and compatible set of reproductive equipment. Two fannies or two ***** are never going to make a baby under any conditions.

WHERE'S THE FOETUS GOING TO GESTATE, STAN? ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP IT IN A BOX?

I meant your assertion that it's a "massive difference". I don't see it as one, that's all.

Physiologically, BP, of course. In all other respects, i see few, if any, differences.

err... isn't that kind of a fundemental, if not the fundemental difference.

Don't see how you can just sweep it under the carpet because it doesn't fit in with your logic.

Exactly, Tiggs; where do we stop treating people who aren't "perfect".

This whole argument is based on homosexual prejudice, subconsciously or not. Otherwise you'd have to scrutinise every other similar gay/non-gay example. Hey ho.

No, that's JUST my point. Good parents aren't ONLY those who are physiologically capable of having kids. Do you see what i'm saying?

Surely when people make the choice to lead an 'imperfect' lifestyle. By doing so they knowingly forfeit the ability to spawn children, so they have to accept the consquences of their own actions.

Yes, but how could we possibly ever know that? They can't have children so it isn't relevent.

But people don't CHOOSE to be born with asthma, for example...

Is that just their tough luck?

Good point.

I'm diabetic, so by the same token, if I was a lesbian I shouldn't be treated.

Any treatment (whether it be for infertility or not) should be made available to all or none - there shouldn't be discrimination of any sort.

I don't see the problem. Loads of unsuitable parents have kids every day. As for getting bullied in the playground then by that token anybody who is ginger should not be allowed to have kids!
