Had a fair amount of rwd experience in various RS's and lotus sunbeams whilst rallying in the 80s and early 90s- when all else was lost I always believed in artistic impression

Last time out the track surface, though bone dry, was incredibly slippery to begin with, so whether you drift or not may not be an option
It did get a bit grippier as the day went on, but not by a great deal

Drivers license. Is it needed for this track day? Cant see it mentioned on here, but I take it its usually required for most track days. I know vehicle hire places can phone the DVLA to confirm a license if they want, but I take it on a track day they arnt likely to want this level of hassle?
I cant find mine. Sent off now almost 2 weeks ago for the replacement. They said it would be here in 2 weeks, but the post man has just been and still no license

I've got a few tyres to kill to, and on the track I find the front and rear wear is pretty even, its the left/right wear that makes the differance.
i've got some very low grip Nankangs, Avons and Star tyres thast need killing, and some road illegal F1's and Toyo's that need finishing off
I'm picking my cage up tonight but it wont be in for Friday. BAT, mine and Ste's fav trackday company require rollover protection to use slicks, its not that they go on their roofs easily, but it is possible,
Heres a close call ...

I know this both rules out and applies to many people on here .... We've only had one 'off' at the last meet (slippyness as mentioned earler and not stupidity) which resulted in a dink, so we've never had cause to 'have a word'.
Remember this is a private track, we are left to manage our own affairs within reason and both the car and passengers are your responsibility. This means a good price and few rules to curb your day.. but we do expect common sense..
Arnold J Rimmer sermon over..

Trickle has a license, just not one to show as required at some trackdays. However he is a track virgin but is a competant driver.
I've just spoken to Bren who said he hasnt yet paid ??? although he is on the confirmed list, so I guess he was just confused about the final payment being needed on the day only. But he is turning up, his S13 has had its overheating problems sorted which is his most powerful car in his collection (for now) so thats something nice for us to watch.

Hi Vez
Corradaboy (Dave) asked for payments to be posted to him to secure the places unless otherwise organised through him? You are however down in 8th on the confirmed list, so guess some one vouched for you
Pretty sure Al will stand me corrected if I am wrong Al Al AL
how close to rolling was that monkey!! kitty litter may slow you down but drifting in it is a really brave move

I'm back Only thing I can see might need addressing is the confusion over Bren's payment. I have it in my records then it was paid on Bren's behalf by Monkey200 via Paypal. Can you both confirm this, if not I don't know who's cash I've got
Current weather forecast is for showers around midday.

just got back from having a nosey now (its only ten mins from mine) looks like it should be fun its all damp round here but the track is bone dry although it looks like it could tip it down any moment

Its raining so hard here that the car nearly washed off the trailer should be fun as I've not got wets on board, just slicks may have to use road tyres if it's too wet
