It was a tongue in cheek response to the mass edit.
The reason dave (dba) was a bit nonplussed was that he posted a very informative reply to some C&P religious text which was posted out of context.
That was deleted along with some insults.
The C&P stuff was not deleted and a bunch of insults were also left.
If you are going to selectively delete stuff then IMO you have an obligation to "go through every comment on every post made in the 6 pages."
It doesn't take that long and if you are going to delete something you should at least read it first !
And please spare the anguished "we mods do this for free and yes, this is our Saturday morning as well, we have families and lives to lead." moderator stuff because,
A) Nobody makes people do it, if they don't like it, don't do it.
B) Paid or unpaid, the job should be done diligently or not at all.
C) SN is not the only BBS in the world with volunteer moderators/admin.

i too feel 'slightly aggreived ' that a lot of my comments on christi-muslim relations got wiped , but can see the reasoning .. i only signed up last night and had 'soul-girl' 'fronting' me , obviously thinking i was someone im not, but then she IIRC 'apologised (to a degree) and we were more amiable from that point.....

I f you go to live in a country you should learn the language, abide by the laws, respect the indigenous populations relogious and other beliefs - not necessarily adopt them and fit in as part of the community.
