I think why the Brazilians have taken it so bad is because he was a regular hard working guy who sent money home each month to pay for his Dad's heart condition and who was *at first* made out to be some wanted terrorist who was fleeing from the Police.
It's not the fact that he was shot & killed, it's the fact that the Police tried to cover up the circumstances around the shooting that has upset everyone.
In my opinion anyway..

The POLICE HAVE NOT tried to cover this up have they? They admitted quite soon afterwards that he was innocent of Terrorist charges. Theres an ongoing enquiry. So how is this a cover up?
The reports of him jumping the barrier and running on the train. Well the first one I cant say where that came from but the second one was a WITNESS on the train who saw the whole thing. Yet the ITV et al seem to have dismissed what he saw!!!

However, those people that have seen the preliminary findings say there doesnt seem to be a cover up
