Ok?

As ever, Spoon, as ever...
OK, that has to win the lamest excuse of the month award Tel.

It's NSR, it's a coherent thread. Everything on the board would have been discussed many times here or anywhere else, so why the negativity?

Hidden agenda maybe?

You disappoint me Tel.

But Spoon - you still don't know what your pain threshold is. You know it's not mild dentistry. What's the next experiment - Leg Amputation with no anaestetic ?

As for Fun, that's maybe a better reason

Spoon, don't partonise, as is your want. Just because YOU have a vaguely-relevant experience, as do i, doesn't make my sentiment, which i'll wager good money is accurate, isn't valid.

But I've got visions of cenobite coming back trying to sue you as his mate Tim has been to work on his teeth with a junior hacksaw and a pair of pliers whilst warming his **** with a bunsen burner

Tel, errrrr it has nothing to do with either experiences, that's not the point here.

I think the word you were looking for is patronise and you'll find that's exactly what you attempted to do to Cenobite, that's the point.

On the contrary. This is a subject about which I know a lot more than most. However I can't seem to tell whether you agree with me, disagree with me or more confusingly just disagree with the subject being discussed at all.

If its the latter can I politely ask you to follow your own advice and not discuss it!

Spoon - point taken, but there are myriad examples in life where the human brain can be shown to overcome the sensation of pain voluntarily.

So unless i'm overlooking the minutest nuance of the discussion within the posts, it's a done deal all bar the intellectual jousting. Or am i missing something??

Yes Tel, it was a thread started on a public bulletin board that asked for peoples opinions, or experiences maybe.

Pretty similar to a ' Best Mobile phone deal' thread (weekly) in that it asks for input.

Your reply with the 'and?' almost denoted a surprised reaction and a dismissive response to why the thread was started.

I suspect Milamber is asking because of his own experiences of pain that he briefly hit on the other day.

Wierdos is plural so who else are you implying is wierd?

That's because i don't think there will BE any. I was being sarcastic on that occasion...

This is like asking if God exists in my opinion. Seen it, done it, bought the t-shirt. But in this instance it's intertwined with somebody's personal agenda (not just on this thread), the basis of which i cannot relate to on any level. Just my opinion.

Its fairly easy to make sweeping statements about people who have different ideas than your own. Calling someone a weirdo confirms you are either incapable of understanding or you are scared of what they represent. Its the easy way out.

I am trying to broach what is, I admit, an unusual subject for most people. I was trying to do it in an interesting and sensitive way.

Every day people are using pain to further themselves, some in more obvious ways than others. I merely wanted to see how accepting a sample audience, aka NSR@SN, were to this concept.

Telboy, just what do you think my agenda is?

Actually I was kinda hoping he was a masochistic mentalist who had to eat his own arm off to get our of Miss Kinkys dungeon. Only to find the handcuffs weren't locked!

Nah, you were right 1st time.

I see, I was right. It's more a beef with the OP than anything else.

God you *have* to be "right", don't you?! The <OP>, to use our new favourite abbreviation, stated something that has been proven time and time again. This is tied into a concept of finding "enlightenment" through various means that i consider to be ill-considered. I've stated nothing more than that.

How do you feel about people who like to fiddle with kiddies then kill them.

No sweeping generalisations allowed.

Just trying to guage how you feel about them ?

Your answer will confirm or deny my view on your weirdness !

Ffs Tel, read through the thread yourself and you'll plainly see you are talking utter bóllocks.

Your latest claim said you were being sarcastic!!! Where and how is one supposed to decipher that or even believe it?

Your very first response was almost good enough to be made into a Kathryn Tate sketch.

The tie-in to enlightenment loses me. It was a simple question as far as I could see.

Oh and OP is common on other boards, sorry if it confused you, you don't have the monopoly on that.

OK to ask tricky questions but not give answers.

Would have expected a smart reply by now from a non-weirdo.

maybe he's gone for a slash.

Spoon i know this is always open to ridicule, by some more than others, but "whatever". Let Cenobite continue with this thread as he sees fit.

What a shame. You ask me to humour a question designed to compare me to someone who preys on the helpless, someone who uses victims for gratification? I shall not humour that question.

Your username brings a smile though. I wonder how much you have really considered 'reality' as a concept and your place within it. How much have you explored it? Probed the boundaries?

It is not unusual to find those who consider themselves "normal", to the detriment of all other "weirdos", have designed a prison for themselves that they continually regret.

Thank **** for that - I thought you'd topped yourself

I chose my name very carefully.

Everybody has their own reality - and those who are outside of their boudaries are weirdos. I'm sure I seem as weird to you as you do to me - doesn't make either of us right - just different .

Weirdo

Hope you find some answers
