Going back even further - Trick Or Treat???

Alright, not in the same league as The Crow or Lost Boys but still takes me back to my youth.

Just bought the film on DVD - film was made back in 1986, roll on Sunday evening, a few Stella's, pizza, and the DVD on

The first time I saw "The Lost Boys" I was bloody sure I recognized the scenery. Had to wait until the end of the film to find it was filmed in Santa Cruz, California, where I'd been on holiday as a kid.

Almost as odd as when I saw the trailer for "Patriot Games" and thought I'd seen the scenes before (like deja vu, but worse). It was only when they revealed the title at the end that I realized the familiarity was because I'd read the book.

Wow, The Crow is definately in my Top 5 films, its a wicked film with a stunning soundtrack, i love all those dark scenes and the pouring rain, very moody.

Another good one-True Romance with Christian Slater, top film!

IWAV - movie nowhere near as good as the book - film lost a lot of the erotic tension! (Though Tom Cruise wasn't as terrible a Lestat as I feared when I first heard he was in the film).
All fantastic films mentioned, I definitely agree with the IWAV not being better than the book, I was very disappointed when I saw it.

IWAV - also known as "Louis, The Reluctant Vampire"

The Vampire Lestat was my favourite of the books. IWAV was a fair attempt at a film but nowhere near as good as the book.

Casting Lestat in a film.... I reckon Johnny Depp in the same form he was in "Pirates of the Carribean" would do the role justice.
