At the risk of all you patriotic folk throwing your toys out of your prams, I would like to make a general observation on the steady decline of the english from my own point of view (ex-pat and have now lived in Germany for nearly eight years), lynch me if you like but this is fact. 
Yesterday I returned from a short holiday in Menorca, why is it that you can tell a brit from a hundred yards, why do they almost all have to wear a football shirt? Why do they almost all have to have a prominant tattoo? Why do they almost all have to have a grade one haircut? Why do they all have to walk around with a "what you looking at" look on their faces? Why do the kids have to be so impolite and respectless? Why do most of the women only think they look attractive with a bolt through their nose?

i know what u mean, when we were young we were taught not to even look at a person who is older than as into their eyes, coz of disrespect
and we used to help old grannies carry their bags, not now, their scumbags and disrespect anyone and think their tough in crowds , i would exterminate them
makes me sick really so many people about and cant even help an old granny carry her groceries even then the grannies get frightened just in case they get mugged
society is truly fecked up man , i cant imagine how bad its gonna be in a few yrs the way things r happening

I agree Karl,
I used to live in rural France and there is none of that carry on over there.
People still have respect for themselves and one another, they are polite and quiet and very patriotic.
Britain is on it's knees in my opinion.
