Just as yesterday, they waited until out of sight before chucking their litter. I didn't see them do it therefore I have no proof to go upto them and grab them and make them pick it up. Police called and i'm in the **** with no proof to explain my actions.

Pick up the bottle and hand it back to them (over the head) "I was returning the bottle they had dropped your honour and for no reason they came at me. I raised my hands to block their blows and forgot that the bottle was still in my hand..."
I'm sure that will get you off with less than a couple of hundred hours community service

What do you think the chances are of the parents being sensible dmc?
Only some kind of painful experience will have any effect. They will laugh at anything else.
The only way I was able to deal with a yob causing havoc in a market square with his skate board was to pick it up and throw it into the river. That really had him going! Luckily the police inspector said I had done the right thing

i say whip out the old video camera, get them on film littering and make sure a goo close up ofd their face. talk to the police/coucil/ask a jobsworth community thingy in town what can be done and you have evidence and want something doing. if not, follow them home, walk by it everyday and throw new rubbish on it. when they say wtf youd doing?! say "well this is what your son does to my garden everyday, and thought you he may like to try it in his own garden"
