Yeah, I like the gunmetal/anthracite too. Can't decide on Gold PFF7's or Chrome OZ ST/SL's though - probably buy whichever comes up first at a good price

I've just finished fitting the last gauges, as all afternoon I've had trouble with a little oil leak.

Anyway get a good night Simb as you're probably feeling like a little kid on Xmas eve.

See you all in the morning.

Well guys I'll have to say it's been a great weekend, first time away with the guys and can't wait for the next one.

Nice to meet the guys at API so friendly and helpful also the visit went down nice with the breakfast sarnies. They get my as Si will tell you when he actually gets home as he's running in the engine.

Time for a early night I think.

Cheers again guys, see at the next meet.

Have to say, What a blinding weekend, Top bunch of lads as normal. To see all of the big names at the same time was mind blowing. Shame the organisation of santa pod was such a **** up, 4 miles of que to get in and then another hour waiting to get on the SIDC stand. I think they need a bit of Welsh organistion?? Kev,Si and Si if you can do the honours for next time!!!!!!

The trip to API was spot on, Nice to know that there are still some good garages around. Well impressed with the set up and I've no problems with dropping the old girl off there to have Simb's turbo fitted and then a remap. Cheers David for the Bacon butties.

I'm fooking knackered after the drive home!!! goner have some tea and off to bed for an early night.

Rich, How did the old girl sound going through the tunnels? I turned the wireless off and opened the windows and then dropped a gear, sounded bloody loud from where I was!!!

Can anyone tell me if we had flames???? I'm hearing the popping and banging but can't see anything from where I'm sat

Dan,

After following you for most of the day I never actually saw any flames but did get lots of pops & bangs. Also next time that I have to follow you, I'll have to close all the vents as I seem to get all light headed with those petrol fumes of yours.

Rich,

Nice little drag run from the Bridge tolls tonight mate, did it sound good Dan going from the Tolls.

A top weekend, I cannot thank you enough for inviting me along to 'pop my cherry' , a top bunch of lads!!!

Danny - no flames but I also dropped down a couple of gears going through the tunnels but my exhaust note was completely drowned out by yours - are you sure it's legal??? In fact, I could here yours with my windows up doing 85mph past Celtic Manor - it is seriously loud (fookin nice sound though )

Matt - it was a good drag away from the tolls!!! I had a big smile on my face, I was wanting to 'play' all the way back.......

Absolutely no encouragement needed for me to write a hefty shopping list Si, (although it is welcome ) - 7 like-minded people let loose on the Midlands - Happy Days! Can't wait for the next one.

Rich.

Everyone kept saying that but I didn't see him!!!!!!

Don't worry rich, we normally have a play on the way back. with regards to it be being legal, Of course it is, I have the two cats, they just happen to be in my shed, but it does sounds awesome!!!!!!

Si, how many miles on the monster now????

I'll have to order a flamer kit. could of done with it last night on the motorway, **** in a XR3i didn't like me over taking him at 75MPH, he then went past me and slowed down to around 60, As I went to over take him again at 75Mph he decided to floor it when I got level. mmm guess who won, he then drove three feet of my bumper with his head lights on full for about 5 miles!!!!!! what a ********, If I'd of had some fruit in the car I'd of thrown it at him.

Oh nearly forgot, Is Daz still alive???? and whats the outcome????

Hi guys,

Glad you had a top weekend.

For me it had to be the best show I've seen at Santa Pod so far.... The club layouts were well thought out and the introduction of the "Big boys" was well worth the entrance money to see.

The only down side was the ridiculous queing for the RWYB, It will be something that I will make Santa Pod aware off.

We had a good spot as well....

Looking forward to next year now.

Cheers

Craig

Great day out Craig, In my opinion we could do with a slightly larger space for the SIDC stand, otherwise the position was great and the inmates friendly.

Although; I did see a speck of dirt on your car, which let the whole area down, Please try harder to keep your car clean!!

Kind regards David APi Impreza / APi Engines

Too right!! So many ideas, so little time

Hopefully my calipers should be done by the next meet, been shopping today and bought all the ingredients .

I have to agree about API. The overwhelming feeling I got from the place was that they are car enthusiasts, it's not just a profession to them. They even asked me to pop the bonnet to see my engine, even though they knew it was just a standard bugeye WRX and no different from all the rest. However they were still interested and offered me some welcome advise on suspension improvements. Big from me!

Baz - I can see you in the white Type R, don't be bullied into submission with the "it's me or the car" routine .

(p.s. Kev your WRX drew almost as much attention as Si's Type R, not sure if you noticed?)

Excellent weekend lads and that's not a biased comment because I got my baby back. Great group of lads with the same sense of humour...thankfully.

The only downside was queuing for a few miles to get in, when will Santa pod learn, people are going to arrive early and with the advetisement of 'all' the big boys running, there's going to be added interest in the event......OPEN THE GATES EARLY!!!!.

Knackering weekend for me, not getting much sleep the friday night and having to doublerly concentrate on running the car in, keeping her below 4000 rpm whilst gently accelerating etc. Thanks for sticking with me most of the way, there was no need as I could see some of you wanted to get off and have a bit of fun

The engine's done about 250 miles now, took a couple hours off work and went for a bit of a drive today to add a few more. After filling up before we left Santa pod I only used just over 1/4 of a tank!!!.

Think Daz and I will be going to API on Saturday to have a look at somthing so should put a few more miles on then. I'm sure Daz will discreetly fill you in later.

See !, I have this problem, since I met you bunch, I just can't get my head through doorways or even into my Subaru. Please stop it, else l'll need a truck to get to work and l'll have to work out in the warehouse with the 'oiks' as l shan't be able to get into my office at all.

In this part of the world, we call it customer service and YES we are interested to see under the bonnet of any Subaru, as sometimes there has been all sorts of inappropriate kit put on and it is actually doing more harm than good. Equally, you may have something good done and knowledge is all in this world.

Photo's for Daz by email tonight or maybe tomorrow morning if the weather holds good.

More bacon butties this Saturday?? you'll break me!!

Good Luck guys and a sincere thanks for all the good things said about the boys here, they really do appreciate it.

Good luck with the car Daz it sounded nice from what David said Sunday.

Do me a favour on Sat if you go up and keep an eye out for a STI 5 spoiler, I'll also send a mail to David to keep watch out for one if he doesn't read this post.

Make sure you buy the right Subaru and not the Subaru fork truck

We have the spoiler in stock - just waiting for you ! l'll pm a price tomorrow. Geat fit they are too! some are horrible. I can also do the same shape in 'Carbon fibre' finish, not a lot dearer but needs no painting. Painting spoilers can be quite expensive usually £100 or even a bit more.

Kind regards David APi

PS That's good, our fork truck - innit ?? only 2wd though, but the roll cage is something else.
