Good knock by Giles as well but Pieterson was on fire. Sad to see Warney, McGrath and Benaud for the last time over here.

Fantastic - probably the single most unproductive afternoon in the history of London. Don't think I saw a single person actually do any work. All the pubs were packed and we sat in our board room, watching on a nice big plasma telly, drinking the MD's champagne (he was there too ) - it's a tough life

What a series - fabulous entertainment. I do hope our over-paid, over-hyped, under achieving national football team have been watching and now understand the meaning of playing as a team and self belief.

The crowd singing 'are you Scotland in disguise' was very funny, if a little harsh

I think the same question was asked when we won the Rugby Union WC and no it had no effect.

Quote from Terry Alderman
"It's a bloody disgrace that Australia had to play 10 one day internationals before a test series the Australian cricket board should have done something about it, lets see how England go if they have to play 10 one dayers before the tests in 18 months time"

Terry, we did, before this test series and we played 3 extra tests and one dayers against Bangladesh you whinging Aussie fool, so many whinging aussies around but fair play to the Australian team they have been very magnanimous and gracious in defeat, they knew they'd been beaten by the better team, I wonder if they will finally give Duncan fletcher his citizenship now !!

Yes, harsh.

I have been behind England from day 1, maybe a tad more (overly)enthusiastic than some of the English have been. Kind of puts a dampner on things. And makes them look stupid when you look at the results of the last world cup qualifying matches Scotland and England played. Were not that bad FFS. Arseholes.

Like all things that become popular with the youngsters - you'll get the arseholes turning up .

Most Scots have been completely behind the English Cricket team - With pissheads chanting that sort of bollox they wont be next time - and will be laughing as the Aussies whitewash us in 2 years time.

I don't think Sti-04 hates England - Most scot/Engerland stuff is light hearted banter.

But there's a problem with light hearted banter in today's Britain - A lot of people can't accept it for what it is .

Infact, If you look at what's happening on Scoobynet at the moment a lot of people seem to have started to take things far too seriously .

This isn't directed at you Claire - just a general observation .

Anyway - back on topic.

Well done England and well played England and Australia.

A very memorable summer.

Thanks guys .

Oh no, I think he really does hate them

Sometimes it's a bit difficult to take supposed 'light hearted banter' when a) it has no relevance to what is happening and b) it happens a bit too often!

But who cares, I am proud to be a jock like you are proud to be british. (or are you)

Agreed, very memorable, but not riveting enough to put me into labour

I see myself more as an individual - but hey - if it's important to you that's OK with me

That chanting was light hearted banter aimed at the Scotland cricket team. not the footy.
