I agree.

I filled my bike up the other day and must have been looking at the volume cos when I went into pay, I had £10.60 counted out, but it was actually 10.6L and only £9.95

To get back on topic....yes, panic buying. Goes against the grain.

You want to protest, so you're wanting to go out, panic buy, and stockpile fuel such that you won't be stuck once the roads grind to a halt? That's not protesting is it. Protesting is not buying ANY fuel, thereby denying the goverment/oil companies of revenue.

If everyone panic buys, the protest lasts a few weeks (once everyone's stockpiles have depleted), and then it's over, then the OVERALL amount of fuel consumed in that time will have no net difference to the revenue of the oil companies/government.

No...what your panic buyers/stockpilers want is a protest that doesn't affect you in ANY way. Looking after No.1 and hoping someone else will take the pain for you.

How is that staging a protest? You may as well sit back and NOT protest at all given the fact you won't have done your bit.

I only need enough fuel to run over some fuel protestors.

Being self employed and my closest residency being 70 miles away, and some a hell of a lot further means no fuel=no work =no money.

Hence 1 huge jerry can brimmed in the garage already (did that a few months back) and will have another 1 possibly 2 tomorrow morning, again both full. Will be keeping the tank topped up aswell! Three cans good for I reckon maybe just under 2 weeks of work if i drive like the throttle has an egg under it. I can always raid the lawn mower if it comes to that too!

I support it fully- but im not going to get ****ed up the *** and land myself out of work for it.

Cool My little reserve stock!!

Due to my job of helping run the Armys fuel Depot in darkest Dorset, i have just had to build a temprorary storage fuel farm to store fuel whilst the main permament storage tanks are being cleaned...so for the next 5 weeks there is 69000ltrs of unleaded in a rubber fabric tank (its big and works on the same principle as a F1 racing car tank!), which have a history of leaking slightly!LOL.....anyone want to trade their good looking wives/sisters!!

Who do you think pays for the army's lost fuel? Taxpayers perhaps?

Hmm. I have two cars with incompatible fuel systems. One requires diesel, the other requires 98 octane super (it says so on the filler cap).

We really don't need to hear about the type of stuff that goes on inside your head. Very revealing though, tell me how long have you had this Oedipus complex?

Hmmm - let's work this out. No fuel in the car and a fuel blcokade means I won't be able to use the car. If I can't use the car then I can't get to work. If I can't get to work then I have to stay home....... and the problem is....?

Let the world fight over fuel - frankly I'll keep well clear so that more nurses, food delivery workers etc can fill up.

Main thing is to make sure I've got what I need as soon as possible. Who knows when the idiots will be out panic buying.

The amusing thing is the single celled organisms that seem to constitute the majority of scoobychavnet.co.uk members probably think that 'Irony' is a way of describing the composition of a substance (like brassy describing something made of brass for the dumbos amongst you. Believe me this will come as news to some of them )
How ironic is that?
