Well, you wouldn't if you were down to your last drop! And given the queue's that are around, I'm betting that that's gonna happen soon Unless you don't do the mileage and can make your current tank last until after all this palava.

I drove from Bristol - Hatfield - Bedford - Bristol on the weekend, so filled up when I got back on Sunday evening... fortunately!

If I was low on fuel and couldn't get any because of the idiots then I would be angry and looking for revenge!

As it happens I have plenty though and I have a job I can do 90% from home, so the scum can bun fight over fuel all they like as my life is as scum-proof as I can make it!

Fuel queues around here are horrendous

Am looking out of the window at our local supermarket, the queues start at the pumps, through the whole car park, out onto the road, and then right around the supermarket

Over an hour to get fuel...assuming that there is any left when you get there

I filled up because i had to.... ish...

normally i run to about 45 litres and then fill,, i did it yesterday at 35

two very big reasons really....

unlike the i want a blast on empty roads, and your being greedy. its a simple case of...

i need the car to get to work. p transport doesent understand working times or distance, so its car or no job... and no no one lives in my county!!

the other is i have to collect my kids from the other halfs and run my youngest to the other set of parents, again p transport is a mess.

agreed the people brimming on £5 worth makes you laugh, but just suppose the percieved threat becomes reality and is supported, how long before the ive got loads or i dont care brigade change there minds??

i know ive got about 2 weeks worth then its of to the casH and acarry for some more

Oh and i forgot to add.....

dont you all have short memorys!!!!!

El gordo still has is it one or two on hold duty increases he hasnt levied yet..... if this protest dosent come off, he knows he can whack them in with impunity, because the sheep wont do anything....

dont say you wernt told...

On Thursday it will be all over ... no-one will be buying as they will have full tanks ... the 'protest' will not be anything more than a wet lettuce ..........

Now the government know we will all queue to pay £105 a litre .... they can draw up some more good causes to spend the extra tax on - I propose, when petrol drops to 90p again, the we all agree to pay £105 so that extra hospitals can be built and those with 15 kids of alternate colours can be supported!!

Yes??

Thats what I want and I admit it.

Get all the dithering f**ks off the road so I can get my car out and not have the worry of school mums/chavs and old people cutting me up every morning OR the sales exec on his poxy mobile phone in his vectra/mondeo doing his - I'm staying put in the fast lane even if you have got a faster car than me.

Why are people phoning 999 to check on fuel availability? Just read it on the news! Anyone doing that needs a couple of months in a cell to think about how thick they actually are.

What's your views on motorcyclists jumping the queue to buy petrol? I'm a biker and was wondering if I'd get lynched if I rode straight up to a pump without joining the back of the line?

Makes my blood boil thinking about sitting in traffic for 1hr just to buy ten quids worth of fuel

Sod that...needs too much public expenditure to keep them there (thus more fuel tax ), Community service (in Iraq) would suffice I think

That's just what I was thinking. I mean in all seriousness how much bother would it be for me to ride all the way up to the front, find someone near to filling their tank and ask them to stick their nozzle in my bike tank and give me ten quids worth, I then give them a £10 note and ride off.
Surely no harm in that.

You have the luxury of being sat in an air conditioned car, I have to sweat my **** off in my leathers. Is that good enough?

Err...whose choice is it to sit around in yer leathers eh? Anyway, my car is not air conditioned, and is not luxury

No...what you propose is simply bad manners. Don't know how you can't see it.

Great idea. In fact just as they finish filling your tank for you you could just fire up the engine and zoom off.

Sorted...

I wouldn't really jump the queue at a petrol station but it does frustrate me (and probably everyone) that we have to queue unecessarily due to a media hype.

I queue jumped yesterday... 2 entrances to the petrol station, everyone queuing back onto the road for 1 entrance. I came from the opposite direction, coasted into the station and straight to a pump and filled up... got some right dodgy looks got back in my car laughing at all the idiots queuing for the stuff. day you catch me queuing for longer than a couple of minutes for petrol is the day I ditch the car. Hardly ever queue for stuff, does my head in, I just move on

What I don't understand is,if no one is actually using more fuel, and the protesters are not blocking any deliveries, what's the point in everyone filling up now? All this does is prevent those who actually need the stuff to get some. I've got a trip to mid wales planned for thursday which I may need to cancel if I can not fill up tomorrow...

Ditto,

I've got to travel to Newcastle at the weekend - 300 odd miles. I could really do without the aggro!
