My local Esso had "NO FUEL" signs up this morning! The other local garages still had fuel, but very long queues as well.

People panicking just make the whole situation worse.

We are all F*cked!

I can't believe that after a few days of panic buying ALL the petrol stations have run out of petrol!!!! The protest/blockade hasn't even started yet!!!! What the f*ck is wrong with people, I was determined not to join a queue because I thought that would only add to the hysteria (and tax coffers!), now that I'm almost on empty there's no f*cking petrol left!!!

If people just kept to their normal consumption then this could have been avoided, but oh no all the tw*ts out there had to fill up jerry cans, plastic bottles, milk cartons, plastic bags etc. I hope it all blows up in their faces..quite literally!!!

It's totally idiotic, if people went about their normal business, this wouldn't happen.

What do you expect? Most garages have enough storage in normal circumstances but when people panic - blink and it's gone.

Our fuel sales were up 400%+ yesterday due to panic buying. Great for us until we have none left!

Last time we rationed it to £15 per customer to conserve what we had and I think we'll have to do the same again otherwise our regular "business" customers will not be able to continue trading.

Idiotic and the Government is laughing all the way to the bank!

Cheers
Simon

The govenments coffers must be well topping up with all the duty from extra fuel being sold this week, bl00dy barstewards.

Deliberately not gone and q'd , will wait 'til friday and hope by then petrol stations have filled up again, and are also deserted.

Sheep mentality maybe, but what are you supposed to do while everyone else is out there buying **** loads of fuel. Sit at home and hope you don't run out?

I have plans this weekend and i'll be fcuked if im going to lose out due to lack of fuel in the scoob.

From what I have heard, they arent actually planning on blocking the fuel deliveries, just protesting outside the fuel depots, so if your local garage does run out, its not going to be for very long, may be a day?

Oh, and Im not talking about people that have no petrol and need to fill up their tank because they are actually doing something that requires them to have the fuel, Im on about people that are queuing up to fill their tanks/jerry cans etc even though they're probably not going to need it IE Panic buying/stock piling

Cool

How much fuel does the average garage hold, 100 litres!?

I think that the garages who run out are only fueling the situation!

Wink

Just put my scoob in the bodyshop for the week

They gave me a ford fiesta 05 (only 4 miles on the clock !!) 1.2 for a courtesy car Guy said better fill it up as its empty.ok no problem, garage down road is only 100 yards.get there big queues, but only had to wait 5 minutes.Filled up to the brim. cost a lot less than the scoob went into to pay and while there, ppl were running in saying that pump 5, pump 6 etc etc were dry. went out to find loads of disgruntled drivers standing there with pumps in their hands and no petrol. Felt bad for them, as they are all victims of panic buying
But the good news is this little fiesta does **** loads of miles to the gallon and so i wont miss the guzzling scoob while this madness is on.Hopefully when i pick her up end of week, or next week, this madness will be over, SUL will be down to 75p a litre and my car will be all shiny (yeah right !!)

Not too sure you want to disclose the fact that you have a full tank .

I might watch Mad Max again tonight to try and pick up some hints on nabbing back the fuel from the "panic buyers" (beware anyone with a full tank and milk cartons full of petrol, I will track you down)

I heard on the TV today that there should be enough fuel in this country to last for the next 80 days so why people are panicking is beyond me. It was also pointed out that they are paying the higher price for fuel and it will come down again soon, sound familiar?
