Im young and own a scoob, I have a Burberry cap in the back of my cupboard somewhere, had Burberry jumpers and loads of other Burberry clothes, might find them all out and wear them together, and come to a few meets, see how many people would actually talk to me.
Oh and theres nothing wrong with Nike TN's, either.

But the whole point you are missing while trying to justify owning any item of Burberry clothing :
ITS FUXKING TARTAN !!! not just that : ITS FUXKING BEIGE TARTAN - chav or not, anyone who thinks they look good walking around in BEIGE TARTAN needs an ASBO to keep them indoors.

ROFL Superb thread, keep it coming. I've just got one thing to say...who the hell ARE these 20 year olds who can insure Scoobs? All I had was a D-reg Fiesta 1.0 Popular until I was 20 - it didn't even come with headrests or a rear demister as standard! My idea of mods was getting a pair of hi-fi speakers from a jumble sale, hooking them up to the bare wires from the stereo that I fitted, and sitting them in the back seats with seatbelts round them so they wouldn't fall over. And that was the best sound sytem in town as well LOL...
And now all these youngsters have got Scoobies!

Sadly, gone are the days when the Scoob was owned by just the enthusiast, you only need to look on SN to see how things have changed.
However onwards and upwards!

I am 18 and have just bought a 97 sport....
So does the fact that im young mean i shouldn't be able to drive an impreza??
I don't wear burberry, i dnt get into drunken fights, i don't sell drugs, i have a quiet steady job and i wouldn't get a turbo (even if i could insure it) as i dnt drive fast anyway......
Infact i drive a hell of a lot slower then most middle aged men going through a mid life crises racing about in loud flashy cars to impress the ladies and to fulfill their lack of self worth......oh sorry did i just steryotype?? dnt you just hate it when people do that

So because somebody is young and chooses to dress a certain way they can't call themselves car enthusiasts????????
Anybody who buys a scoob does so knowing about what they are capable of, in buying one they can call themselves enthusiasts as they are seeking to own a bit of motoring history. regardless of age or anything!
Interesting comment really mate ... so as cars get replaced and the prices drop they instantly become chav cars??? Yeh that makes sense!!!!!

I would say that I'd have to agree with his view on SN too, although he has considerably more clout in saying it, given his moderator status.

however, my understanding of moderation is that the aim is to be impartial - irrespective of opinion....
This topic isn't about Paul's personal opinion - not whilst there's a moderator's hat on anyway....
