I think the results are pretty accurate. For example, letstorquebhp estimates my scoob to have the following:

280bhp - 1235Kg

0-60 in 4.42s
0-100 in 11.85s
60-100 in 7.43s
st 1/4 on the road in 13.14s @ 105.29mph

Using the AP22, my car records the following times:

0-60 in 4.67s
0-100 in 11.9s
60-100 in 7.45 (rolling start at 55mph in 3rd gear)
st 1/4 in 13.59s @ 105.6

Those actual figures seem pretty close to the estimated figures to me! Using LTBHP, the LCR will need the same 280bhp to match the 60-100 times that a 280bhp classic produces. Although the LCR weighs ~150kg more, the transmission losses are less producing similar figures.

Now, I have had a run in with RR's 350BHP Ibiza and it is indeed very fast but he suffers tremendously with lack of traction. Coming off a roundabout in dry conditions, he didn't get past me until 125mph. That is on a straight road. From a 60mph rolling start, I have no doubt he would be substantially faster. Once it rains though or he comes into the back roads where I mainly use my car, things will be much different. Horses for courses really - I chose the scoob for all year use and to match my chosen roads!

My car is suited to the roads i use Phil, i dont do back rd's. Lets not forget your claiming a 11.8sec 0-100mph so its not shabby anyway. But bear in mind to be in front by 125-130mph i not only have to react to you flooring it and reacting to you actually pulling away by visual signs IE distance, i then have to floor it to claw the gap back. So its a couple of car lengths to start with, then the distance you get by being the 1st to plant your right foot, then i have to close the gap, draw level and make a gap to get ahead. If we were to reverse the settings me being the lead car. You would have to react to me flooring it, make up the couple of car lengths anyway that i was in front, level and pass me. Its hard going against near 280-300bhp cars that weigh sub 1300kgs especially being the 2nd car. You remember the encounter with the Evo, it was supposed to be modded and very quick. Did i panic did i steer clear. I remember saying i was going after it for some "Evo Time" and enquired if you were coming along. Forum talks cheap as is hearsay. But i dont get upset by people giving my shopping trolley a hard time, it was meant to be stealthy that was the point. You know as well as i do i like pulling scooby owners legs simply because of threads like these.Scooby gets beaten shock horror. All the owners scream "Not Possible" "twistys" "In the wet". But in this threads case it was dry, straight, and happened. Take your medicine boys, either sell the car for a quicker one, modd it make it quicker. Its what i did.

P.S I aint a scooby basher, just a person willing to look at the whole picture without blinkers.

P.P.S When your fuel pump and Injectors turning up Phil?.

P.P.P.S I wonder how much quicker i would have passed you with a healthy maf sensor?.

LOL BOB your qtr mile is 1 to 1.3 seconds quicker than mine but your terminal speed is the same as mine. I wonder what that means. HAHAHA.

I currently own a wrxppp and in the last 2 years i've owned a bugeye wrx, blobeye sti ppp and now a wrx ppp. I can honestly say that the bugeye wrx isn't that fast although it feels faster than it is. In a straight line I beat a LCR 225 in my STI PPP but i wouldn't have in the standard wrx. I can noticeably feel the difference between the stippp and the wrxppp. Maybe because of the gearing as well as the extra 40 bhp.

At the end of the day it is all well and good saying im faster than you but you purchase the car and keep going back because of the overall driveability of the car.

Just my point!

LOL but i take 5.5secs to get to 60mph. Once rolling i would shaft ya. You cant argue with figures...well thats what you keep saying.

So we both cover the qtr mile at the same speed that says once traction is overcome i am faster by quite a margin.

RR: You would be well matched against a classic with 260ish bhp on the strip

As most diesel cars are quicker than Imprezas, apparently, surely the Leon to have is the 150FR.After all it has with 30lb ft torque more than the Cupra R so in "real world driving" it will be far quicker.

If it's in Essex, think of it as "thinning out the numbers" mate.... otherwise, said family would only reproduce out of control, exhaust the supply of Mc Ds and starve!

I,m still very new to this site. Was that last comment a joke?? seems a bit evil.
What is a Chav anyway?? and to be one do you have to do something stupid to your car or something stupid in it?? like 130 on a dual carriageway for instance!!!

I really can't belive the kick off this thread has started! My car is faster than yours! I can't remember the last time I saw a thread grow soooo fast from the first post. I had a JDM WRX, been considering an LCR for a few months now. Bring it on.

RR - You ARE a W@nker - No questions - and you drive a Seat Ibiza - Its a f*cking girls car and they are ugly and awful to drive. I am pretty sure most people on here could buy a sh*t heap like yours and spend the money to make it fast but at the end of the day you cant polish a turd and thats what your Ibiza is - Yes maybe a fast one but never the less still a bloody turd.

I do like the look of the LCR but if I had wanted one I would have bought one.

Get a life mate and go and tell your little **** ****** on seat how cool your seat IBIZA is - Is it not obvious no one on here gives a flying f*ck - When you go to the pub and tell the guy next to you, you drive an Ibiza I can almost guarantee he will make sure his back is to the wall - Do you think he will care it has 350BHP!!!

My scoob is a uk classic turbo and I dont care if people can leave me in what ever car. My commute is only 7 miles so I usually drive it slowly as it is not warmed up properly - So everyone can beat me but I dont care - I drive a Subaru Impreza turbo - What do you drive?

About 10 years ago, i would have been impressed!

The scooby is the new xr2i, hardly something to go shouting about!

You may see the ibiza as a girly car but the impreza is a chavs car!

Some of you live in fantasy land, the scooby has lost the respect it once had and its doubtful your ever going to get it back.

Bob...It is going to take 400hp in a 4wd car to match 350hp in a fwd car! Simple physics mate! Real life, not some poxy magazine that you keep on quoting!

You of all people should be in the know seeing as you have a highly tuned car yourself! I'd put money on RR being able to spank you midrange and top end, in fact i'd put my house on it!

A few replies on here go to support the chav image the impreza already has! Personal insults FFS Get a grip lads

Scoobstu....How old are you? Time to grow up and mature a bit eh Its people like you who give the impreza the chav label! Lexus lights and 5 inch widebore by any chance?

Its making you look really silly to the outside readers because at the end of the day you are arguing black is white! Remember what this thread is about eh

I suppose if the Leon was originally designed with good handling as part of the brief, you wouldn't be such a danger to society when leaving airfields and dragstrips behind.....

You go on about your condsideration for other road users, while publicly ranting about street racing within this thread.

A fwd car with as much power as your is pretty pointless. You know damn well that a 4wd Leon with the power you got would be a lot more useful.
