Tony is a great leader.

Great at messing things up, great at doing the wrong thing, great at lying, great at spin, great at incompetence, great at attacking other countries, great at apologising for things he had nothing to do with, great at not apologising for his own multiple sins.

Name one Great reform Tony will be rememebered for. one thing that has fundamentally changed the nature of the county/economy for the better.

"we gave independance to the Bank of England". Ooohhhh well thats 8 years well spent then.

Failure to curb (in fact massive increase) the public sector pension liability will in 5 years time be the things the blair time is remebered for domestically.

I hope GB does become labour leader. Will be just as his massive mis-management of the economy can no longer be hidden to the man on the street and it all comes crashing down. Probably the best thing that could happen for the conservative party.

Actually you wouldn't be to far wide of the mark with him, yes he ruthlessly disposed of his enemies, but under him, his own people, were educated, prosperous and lived a peaceful (by the standards of the time) existence. Oh yeah and he had influence and control that a Brussels Eurocrat can only dream of

Unfortunately my Tony Blair parallel was meant only on the raping and pillaging

I actually regard Genghis Khan truly as one of the best leaders this world has known

Bill Clinton gets my vote! Most powerful job in the world and how does he use his authority? To get women to sleep with him and interns to give him a BJ? What a guy!!! Personally I think he could have gone for better lookers, but, hey, it takes all sorts!

He made but one mistake in his period of office... he forgot the golden rule: If you get em to swallow, there's no forensic evidence. BUT and -here's the crucial thing that saves him from falling from the top spot in my estimation- there's no evidence for bragging rights either!!!

He man have been president, but he was also a man! And what a man!! Bill We salute you! I'll get behind any man of that calibre...wouldn't want to stand in front of him...in the splash zone!!

Before anyone suggests a politician, ask yourslf a question: Who have they sh*gged. Best Mr Blair could manage was his missus! FFS David Blunket is more of a ladies man than him and he's blind!!

At least John Major (unfairly regarded as a looser) got Edwina and she bragged about it in her book too!! Now THAT'S a man!!

Tony Blair?!?!? Pah!!!

He missed a goal from about eight yards. My grandad could do better than that, even *without* digging him up

The greatest leader of all time?

It has to be the loss leader, what other single marketing idea has helped the boom in supermarket trade than that.
Have i missed the point

Tony Blair - "The man who brought a once proud nation to it's knees".

That is how he will be remembered along with the rest of New Labour.

This country is going straight to hell and most have been too blinded by propaganda and spin to realise it.

Sorry, but I don't really understand why/how/what/when/why this statement is valid...please quantify for the ignorant...

you have got to be taking the **** surely.

the man is a **** and a liar.

He is directly responsible for the london bombings.....and his only retort to that accusation is that "it wouldnt have happened anyway"

NO IT ****ING WOULDNT.

If he had half an ounce of intelligence, he would have let the US go it alone into iraq.
We could have just sat back and shut up like some of the brighter leaders in Europe did. They knew the yanks would go in anyway.......but being the cocksucking arselicker he is , he just couldnt say no.....

How Exactly have we as a nation benefitted by going into Iraq.????
What have we got out of it??

Our country is now no.2 on the terror list thanks to him.......

arsehole.

The greatest leader of all time falls to 1 man alone!

Adolf Hitler!

Im not saying he was a good man or condone any of his actions but **** germany were a formidable force which just about took over the whole of europe.

As far as leaders go hitler has to be at the top of the pile!

If all these people and it seems pretty unanimous think that Tony is just a huge disaster then how did he get in for a third term, who voted Labour certainly not me ...........
I suppose the morons who voted Labour will blindly vote Labour again next time.

But I must say theres some great comments in this thread, seems like not many think he's doing much of a job then?

r32, because SN is populated with people who can afford to run high performace cars, and therefore generally have no vested interest in voting Labour. Lewis keeps spouting this **** because he's a born and bred North-Easterner, where voting Tory is about the biggest crime you can commit. He hasn't got the nonce/guts to realise that in his boy-done-good status, voting Tory would almost certainly benefit him. A Champagne Socialist of the worst kind. But people on here keep feeding the ego, so on we go.

We must never disagree with the Party line at a public meeting though-it appears that is an offence against the Terrorist Act!
