Yes I've spent a lot of time in armour (47+ hrs), but also in other stuff, totalling 77+hrs... but I've racked up a total of 143:38:31 (143+ hrs).. so have also spent a fair amount of time as infantry!

PPS. can't wait for the Armour expansion pack in March

Still more than a slight bias towards amour

Anyone on tonight?

Do you have to actually be transporting other people or can you just drive round for 10 minutes?

Having a problem dropping out of games after a few minutes. Just clean installed XP-64 on my Raptor and have the BF2 version 1.1.2554-3560. I downloaded 1.3 (? I think) and 1.12 last night so I'm guessing I'm up to date. Anyone confirm what the latest patch/release is?... Ta'

p.s. Dr_E - the Raptor does indeed get me on the playing field quicker than before - now maybe I'll get in some armour

Current order of things when installing:

- BF2 install, then reboot
- BF2 SF install, then reboot
- Patch v1.12 install, then reboot

All should be fine then (patch v1.2 is due at the same time as the Euro expansion pack in Feb - I'll provide a quick dload link when I have access to it).

As for your PS - pah, why do think I'm rebuilding mine again with SATAII drives for boot, a raptor for the game disk and an X2 4800

BTW, any one that wants a cheap gaming mouse (wired) and game mouse mat, take a look at the Logitech MX510 + Steel pad bundle for circa 30 quid - can't go wrong for that money... Of course the G5 is king of wired mice

Thanks DrEvil. Must have been seeing things with the "1.3" thing. If it doesn't miraculously cure itself, I'll reinstall.

Had the same problem myself a few days ago. Completely sporadic and out of the blue. Was getting disconnected from the server all night after a few mins. Did a (lengthy ) re-install with patch and seems OK now. I have a feeling it was either PB related or my ISP.

BF2 vanilla tonight - and we're trialing 45min rounds - cos some badges are proving impossible to get.

However BF2 SF nights (Thur) will be 30min still.

What about an earlier start A? Say 8.30/9pm. Would this help?

Eh? Not really, the badges require X number of minutes in a round, 35 minutes is cutting it too fine, hence the trail of 45mins.

Of course, you'll still get the rounds finishing early if one side is a lot better than another.

GG again guys - best moment of the night must have been placing C4 on dv8Daves gunship when he was trying to capture a flag, watching him take off 50m into the air and blowing him sky high!

Cheers Dave

No, I meant in general so that more games might be played before peeps felt it was getting a bit late and left the server with less than 9. Perhaps this isnt as important as it might have been with the influx of new players lately.

We seem to have a lot of rogue 'SNAFU' tags out there.

Just to make it clear, if you are interested in joining the clan by all means let us know via our website - don't just add the tag because you are a regular on SN please.

Cheers.

PS. i know none of the posters on this thread have done so... and please, if interested in joining let me know

Should we have a poll on the SNAFU site DrE? I'd be happy with anything between 8 - 8.30.

Will do when I get home, on my 7800GT powered by 512K of memory

Just got off the phone from Crucial and they're going to refund me "on this one instance" when I pushed. So thanks to Dr_E, OcUK now have another item bought from them, namely some Corsair memory.

Hopefully arrive tomorrow, so pick up from the Post Office on Thursday morning. Depending on work, may get online properly, for the evening. Fingers crossed... Have much pent up frustration to out!

Remember Rambo, when he gets mad...?

P.S. anyone use a Saitek Cyborg Evo wireless joystick with randomly not working buttons?
