Hello all, Puff, Neanderthal, Dr Evil.
Haven't really gotten into this game yet but fancy "having a do at it" online. Tried this Am to get on server and add it as a favourite but it says I must have SF edition too.
Is that only when SF is the gane being played or is it always mandatory coz it's on the server?
Anyways, see you on somewhere.
Toots.

TOOT!!!!
Yeah SF is the add-on pack. The server is set to it on Thursdays (prolly not been reverted back to vanilla BF yet). You'll be able to play on the server when it's not running SF.
Played for the first time in ages last night. Really enjoyed SF for a change. Only played 3 maps though.
Within 5 mins of joining I'd already TK'd my squad leader

Install the EA Downloader and buy SF online for I think £10
Had a good round as air defence & at one point was 20-0 & top of the score board on my (losing!) team. Then someone got wise to that
Generally kept to the normal order of things though by staying at the bottom of the pecking order lol

I'd love to dish out the punishment on those pesky choppers!
The only way I can take down a chopper quickly is to try and fly it!

Ahh, back to Blighty and more importantly back to BF2... Don't 'alf get rusty when away for any length of time, as I found out to my cost today!
Will hopefully be able to join up for some vanilla on Tuesday, assuming no problems.
And has taken me an hour to catch up on the posts...! Good to see things going from strength to strength in my absence, 'cos I'm sure I've been missed
Need to get a fast laptop - was streaming Radio 1 and 5 Live wirelessly into my PDA in the hotel, so I'm sure it could have supported BF2. Could have blamed the non-skiing on "those dodgy knees"...
Rock on Tuesday...

Ordinary BF2 tonight all.
I hope to be on (honest) but my NTL *cough* upgrade went a little wrong yesterday, at work currently and not had an opportunity to test BF2 out yet.
So hopefully see you online later.

I shouldnt have let him leave, but he gave me his mobile number, promised he was in the area for the next 30-60 minutes - so call him if issues - must of switched his mobile off within 30 minutes of leaving - basically ****** off to watch the football.
To have any chance of viewing normal BBC and ITV channels I'm reliant on NTL, as my house aerial doesn't pick a strong enough signal - so end result yesterday was I was left with no TV or Broadband!
I managed to resolve part of the issue myself, and got basic TV/BB working again - but its still a bit flakey. Not happy - and I'm oncall from tomorrow, so need the BB. I pity the NTL employee that answers the phone tomorrow..
Hmm... SKYHD + TalkTalk or similar could be on the cards....

BT did say that the connection will be iffy for the first 10 days while the best speed you can get is sorted out... I've been getting anywhere between 2 and 8Mb.... right now it is 6.1Mb

You may be getting booted because of your ping. A lot of servers have a average ping limit that gets kicked.

Tomorrow is the earliest NTHELL can come out.
Favourite sites of mine at the moment:
www.otelo.org.uk
www.sky.com
And look at various BB suppliers.

not trying BF2 at the moment - not until my BB connection calms down - I'm getting anywhere between 4.5 and 8 Mb at the moment and the ping times are all over the shop.
So, I'm just getting on with Oblivion in the meantime....

Well I had a great time on SF last night. Didn't stay long, think it was 3 maps.
Was only when I'd come out of the game had I realised I'd not got TS running... no wonder no one was replying to me!
