Looks at the pics in the auction, they do look wet. I am almost sure that you can see a nice large damp patch on one of the seats
Do your best to get a refund. Act quickly, reasonably and make sure that you follow it up if necessary. I recently took someone to court for an awful lot less than you have spent. Took 12 months from start to finish (including the baliffs). Overall amount of my time was about 3 hours prep and 2 trips to court. Overall a good result, just would have liked to see the guy's face when the baliff showed up

I know it's not much help at the moment but as mentioned by "Butty" above there are more legit routes to buying a new interior from a rally prep car if the situation is resolved.... which I hope it is
I have bought things of "Butty" and he's 100% reliable

From reading all of the above, I can only assume, as my first suspicions arose, that this guy is either selling off part from stolen cars, or he's a scrap merchant with lots of flash cars coming in. Just look at his history and he's seling bit's of Evo's, Scoobys and allsorts....
Hope you get this sorted out

Just an update. Seats have been returned to the Seller. Checked on TNT's Website and they were signed for this morning. Have asked Seller to confirm he has them and also to advise when he posts the refund. Here's hoping.
Below is the picture of the WR1 Interior as advertised on ebay.
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...R1Interior.jpg
It was really criminal to leave this outside in the rain overnight. The Seller did say that he thought it would have dryed out by the time I got it.

I see that he's removed his returns policy, so the next poor sod is stuffed.
Also see the Question at the bottom from someone asking for freight costs to Poland.
The auction went back on again lastnight, he didn't get the items back until today, and its my bet he doesn't even open the boxes everything was packed back up in as the guys at work made a real good job in repacking, as them came wrapped in what can best be described as industrial bin bag material.

Report to eBay under the fraud option. You know that the goods are not mint as you have seen them.
Or, he is selling a different set of seats, but using the old picture
Either way the ad is not correct and he can be reported for doing this.

Topcat1,
Firstly you are right to feel aggreived that the items you recieved were not like brand new, if that is how they were advertised.
The sellers comment,
"They got wet in the rain just dry them out they will be fine"
Is not far from the mark.
Water WILL always dry out, but you may need to do some vaccuuming to remove sand etc and local sponging to clean up.
BUT is it worth the aggravation and possible financial risk to return something that is EASILY and completely free to fix yourself? (save the cost of some fairy liquid). You must feel it is.
If local cleaning ie sponging won't suffice then I have successfully washed, and I mean soap and water in a bucket with a brush rinsed using a hosepipe, complete rear seats from every one of my 4 brand new Imprezas, and brand new XR2 that had childrens vomit (a lot) all over them!!
The last one being my STi blue alcantara seats at 2 weeks old!!!
And the same on my wifes previous car.
My children christen evey car I have owned with sick.
I have also cleaned two Impreza front seats, bought off Scoobynet, which were in a MUCH WORSE condition than the slightly soiled examples you have.
They came up looking brand new.
I remove the seats from the car, obviously, and blitz them, remove some of the excess water with a Vax (water type vaccuum cleaner) and leave them in the garage or in the sunshine to dry.
There is NO PROBLEM. Seriously.
My pal is a secondhand car dealer and he will often remove seats, jet wash them and leave them to dry. Job finished.
As long as its not ingrained oil then they will clean up easily.
The door cards are plastic, they wipe clean and dry, and sprayed with a silicone based 'trim shine' type product will look brand new.
For interest the front seats on a MY00 cost in excess of about £1000 each and couldn't be bought fully built. I would have to buy them as seperate items and assemble them. Hence the extortionate price. (the seat back was over £300 and the hinge over £80)
And hence my willingness to buy secondhand and wash them.
Cheers

As i live near the place the seller is from (kenilworth) i do know of someone from there who is renowned for being ropey funily enough he seems to always have evo's and Scooby's. Oh yeah he was also in the frame for my mates STi8 getting trashed with paint stripper a few months back, which was also in kenilworth. Maybe im just being suspicious

Thanks for the cleaning tips, I did consider going down this route. But as I was buying the Seats to go in to a new MY06 WRX, I would never be happy with them after seeing the condition they were in. Also the fact I was a bit pissed off that the Seller thought he could send out goods in that state and expect no come back. I did say that all he needed to have done was cleaned and dryed the Seats himself prior to sending and I would have been none the wiser. But he made no effort not even to wipe the rain off the doorcards prior to packing.
He still hasn't confirmed that he received the Seats back, and as thread above looks like he has sold them again.
You live and learn.

Topcat1,
When I drove 100 miles (200 mile round trip) on New Years Day in my wifes car to collect the 'excellent condition' MY00 front seats for my old car, they were sat in a damp garage, covered in s*it and looking as though they were obviously out of a write off ie a car with no windows in it, hence full of muck.
But I knew that they would clean up, and I couldn't afford to buy new.
So I bought them in full knowledge of what I had to do.
I was perturbed at the description not matching the goods, but they were basically sound and good condition, in that they were not worn out and threadbare, and after cleaning looked A1. Really as good as brand new.
As a father I have had to clean some disgusting things off the car seats and so long as you attack in the manner I suggest, with no pussyfooting around, they have always come up clean and smelling of roses.
My 2 week old STi back seat was cleaned using a hire carpet cleaner, water, soap, bucket, and disinfectant on a campsite in Tenby, the day we arrived.
I removed the rear seat with the Subaru tool kit, (12mm spanner) and spent an hour washing and vaccuuming it dryish.
Then left it sat outside the caravan all afternoon.
Luckily it was sunny, so it dryed sufficiently for my darling daughter (the culprit) to sit on it, later on.
Oh how we laughed about it!!!
Good luck getting your refund.
Cheers

Alcazar,
Received a Cheque on Friday, and now waiting to see if it clears ok in the Bank.
Have now bought off Ebay a brand new interior from a JDM 2006 Sti 9, which is being stripped out at Prodrive, for the same price as the WR1 Interior.
The JDM Sti interior is Black/Black so should look good in Crystal Grey car.

I guess you bought the new interior from "Greg" then
I got mine from him and it arrived without even a single fingerprint in the OEM cardboard Nice one !!
When you fit it check if the rubber strips on the front door cards that sit next to the window need swapping from the old ones!! Only use fingers to remove the surround to the door handle......you might lose a few finger nails but won't damage the plastic..........LOL. Then have a snigger that the electrics for the windows are stamped "Nissan" (they were on mine) !!
The other thing is that it's easier to remove the rears and then take the fronts out of the rear doors....BUT Get someone to help you as there's a stray bit of metal on the front subframes ready to gouge out a line of paint form the rear wheel arch if you are not careful !!!!!!!!!!!!
Best of luck
Shaun

Shaun,
Yes, the interior was bought from Greg, seems a good guy, has phoned and emailed me to keep me up to date on progress.
Thanks for the fitting tips, I didn,t fit the Door cards last time when fitting the Sti Blue/Black interior.
Greg did mention that the rear Door cards will have a hole in them for the winder as JDM Sti do not have rear electric windows, was this the case with the ones you got.
Thanks

I'd be returning them personally if I was you mate. That's taking the Pi$$.
You can't pay £550 for something like that, in that condition, then be expected to tolerate the condition just because the seller is a To$$er.
Tell him to Poke them and get your Cash back ASAP
