Phil, suggest you upgrade to a round bed as the pressure is more evenly distributed and less likely to spring a leak at the seams under stress compared to one with sharp corners.
As an additional line to your neon business, get the bed made in transluscent material and insert your LED/EL fixtures into the bed (suitabily waterproofed, of course), then you can get the swimming pool underwater lighting effect, shimmering and psychedelic variations in colours.

Cool

An EL sheet added to the base of a translucent water bed would be better than inserting it into the bed, without waterproofing problem. Alternatively, a clear top on the bed base with lights underneath would work the same, as in those crystal display stand. All you need to add then is a mirror on the ceiling.

A white satin sheet would be nice, monogrammed if you can. I think if you can add underwater speakers too, that'll be nice, you can have music without disturbing the neighbours.

She will have problem with changing/recharging batteries though, unless powered by a fuel cell that runs on milk.
